Actually it was well known. In the build up to the album this track was leaked and went popular. Also Kanye used Twitter back then and regularly tweeted about the changes he was making to it. So yes, people know the album version is not the same as it once was.

well it’s still different, but we got both versions. at the time tho I did miss this OG version, i’m split on which is better. this one’s colder which i love. and man did this version hit different, it was an introduction to Yeezy AND Ye’s new gen sound, together in real time. i remember getting the shivers from this, dude, shivers, when this fashion week stream was dropped. imagine fukn being there, wtf..
but this is easily one of Ye’s best songs EVER, that’s the consensus for sure.
