Good idea on cleaning the boat up. I use the same solution on the vinyl siding on the side of my house. I spray it on and leave it for about 30 minutes. The green mold and black mildew just seems to disappear and I rinse the solution off just in case it is hard on the vinyl to leave it on there. My battery fits up front, but I also bought a hydroplane fin that attaches to the cavitation plate on the motor just above the prop. It allows you to come up on plane quickly and maintain the plane at slow speeds keeping the bow down. They are not very expensive. Less than $100 bucks. There are two different size hydrofoils. One for motors 40 hp and under, then a larger one for bigger motors. Carp are running. Time to whack some invasive species.
@@tradbowpodcast I have a 1648 Grizzly with a 20 hp Tohatsu. Hydrofoil works great! I like the tiller drive because it allows for more open boat layout where steering console would get in the way. I fabricated a center deck with a swivel seat on a pedestal for a 2nd fisherman or bowfisherman. Hard to beat a light aluminum boat for towing around and not needing a big motor to push it.
there is a link to the one on amazon in the video description that is 100 bucks. The one I got was was 120 from aliexpress.com and type 2.3 hp outboard and it will pop right up if you want that one.

@@permarasta you could put it on either. my kayak (asend h10) sells a outboard bracket or you could even clamp it on the side. I see alot of guys running small outboards and trollers on kayaks.
@@permarasta yep outboards on kayaks especially in the south is pretty popular. the rivers down here run strong so sure beats paddling. and people have come up with some creative ways to mount them. Now after market companies have started offering kayak mounts as well.
Square stern canoe and this thing would be 💯
Agree! This little thing rips! and its dirt cheap with and only weighs 18 pounds and no battery need.
Wow, that's very impressive for such a small motor. Definitely will be good in a tight spot!
Im pretty impressed with it. especially for the money
It’s always a good idea to have a back up plan.
Especially on these rivers we run. and ive only been down here a couple years and dont know the rivers well yet.

@@HookNHoofOutdoors Great point. I have had to hit a dozen stumps or debris so far and only been on these rivers 2 dozen times in my life..lol
I bet that thing would work great on my nucanoe frontier 12
It would probably scoot pretty dang well. I can believe how well this pushed my 1548

Yep same solution works on anything except stained wood. Great tip on the hydro foil. Might check one of those out.

Does it have an emergency stop clip? Thinking about this for my son's dinghy.
Yes it does. Its the red cord i have wrapped around the throttle.
im ordering one now
I'm not gonna lie it's a super sweet motor. I bought mine thru alliexpress for 120. Then saw it on Amazon for 100! I'm super happy with it
Great idea, would love to see it on your kayak. Thanks for sharing.
