The area where it was to be built has now 20-30 small skyline of 30/40 stories. It definitely gives a hope. Due to Covid many projects worldwide suffered
I personally don't like the area where Creek Tower was supposed to be built. We have our own projects there as well and I don't like our decision to purchase plots in that region either.
Dubai is known for its impressive and innovative architecture, with buildings such as the Burj Khalifa and the Burj Al Arab standing as symbols of modern engineering and design. However, it seems that some lesser-known super-tall skyscrapers have been overlooked or forgotten by the public. This raises questions about the sustainability of such ambitious building projects and their long-term impact. The topic also highlights the importance of acknowledging and preserving architectural heritage, especially when it comes to landmarks that are representative of a city's identity and culture.
Dubai is such a fascinating city to me because it's so modern and monumental. From 1970 when it had a population of about 50,000 to today where the population has grown to about 3.5 million, there's little doubt that its impressive present skyline is still just the beginning.
I disagree. I think it'll end up like the dusty old wild-west towns of the USA, complete with corruption and lawlessness and lots of guns. There is only 1 resource (oil), and it doesn't have the sense of community or the history to attract people just by virtue of being a big city.
sadly Dubai can be described as "on paper" since it has: no culture pretty boring to live in terrible sewage system and the skyscrapers can be weirdly placed in conclusion, Dubai is soulless trying to look cool
A lot of these projects are indeed just marketing gimmicks. A lot of them serve no purpose and it just gets people to talk about it. Just like the line. And when they cancel it they wipe it off the website and pretend it never happened because they’re too embarrassed to admit they overstepped and were too ambitious.
It will probably never get build, but if it will, we already know that the ones who will build it, will not get paid and many will die during construction.
Wow its a amazing video.I would like to see some of these projects completed as they look nice even though they're not very useful. They're being built for rich people to enjoy. I doubt many projects will reach completion as the world economy struggles.
Isn't the entire problem the fact that there simply aren't enough multimillionaires and billionaires who want to move or own property in Dubai? No one else can afford to buy property there, or even afford just to travel there as a tourist. Add in the pandemic, China's long lockdown, Russia being at war and it's people (and money) not welcomed in most places, and you limit your pool of potential buyers and investors, let alone tourists. Then add in the Middle East's general attitudes towards women, dark skinned people, and gay people, and you cut your potential client list down further. Not to mention laws against alcohol, and that limits your tourism potential even more.
Actually at site of Dubai Creek tower, thirty small towers of 20-35 stories have come up. EMMAR Delivers. It’s to be noted that during financial crisis of 2008-2009, almost 45 towers in business bay went on hold but by 2017, all completed and now business Bay Area is thriving district with top 3000 global companies making their Middle East headquarters. Every decade since 1980, we have global financial crisis and Dubai has done excellent to maneuver its development. 2020 was bad but now in 2023, most projects are being completed. Unfortunately not all mega projects survive, but luckily hard work by everyone an amazing 2020 expo was launched in 2021/22 and it was grand success with over a billion dollars in investment opportunities
I live in Dubai and Dubai Holdings, today, is stronger than ever. The Real Estate brand I work for, is 3rd largest in Dubai and 4th in GCC itself and we are recently started building of our own Tower 4 plots south of Burj Jumeirah's plot. The area, Sufouh district now is much better compared to what it was 3 or 4 years back.
Honestly, with prices still going up, it's unlikely that a lot of these on-hold projects would push through. Only the rich can afford but for how long?
This looks like a sort of curse since 2010 : whoever will try to beat the Burj Khalifa in height will inevitably suffer failure. And so it has been for 13 years. x)
Wow its very good I adore Dubai, I consider it the safest, cleanest most exciting place I've ever visited and I've been to most countries in the world! I was very disappointed when they cancelled Dubailand but they announce so many future projects [more than any other country I believe ] that I think they should be excused when they cancel some of them!

How about a seawater desalination project that creates a river that creates a rainforest in the desert....cmon DuBoys....you can afford and execute that bia. I'd definitely visit that.
So the front yard would be a giant model of this one guy’s fingerprint? Talk about megalomania. That alone would justify this thing’s karmic cancellation.
Another spectacular video 😊 It seems to me that Dubai Holding never ever finished a big project. Another beautiful skyscraper by the name Burj Al Alam was cancelled 😐
I would like to see some of these projects completed as they look nice even though they're not very useful. They're being built for rich people to enjoy. I doubt many projects will reach completion as the world economy struggles. It's difficult for me to imagine tourists coming to Dubai just to visit tall buildings, but I suppose wealthy people enjoy spending money on frivolous activities. It seems everything in Dubai is geared for the wealthy tourists. I won't be going there no matter how many super-tall buildings they have but I'll still enjoy seeing them on RUclips from the comfort of my home and be happy for those people who can experience them in person.
Dubai is a place that literally makes no sense to me in the 21st century. The Why I don't understand and honestly may not ever understand. Mostly because I am Canadian and hate the heat.
@@AL-lh2ht that makes sense. I mean the whole purpose of building mega city and relocating to it. Even that expats love to drink and UAE is a very strict Muslim country. I only wish I could see what this place will be 100 years from now. As its a great experiment right now.
If you don't finish you mega projects and if you don't explain why just leave that place since there more aless there trying to scam or want to make people mad because they keep saying nothing about why they stopped it
I'm a middle class American with a family. I'm awed by the marvel of construction, but I don't get excited about any of it. I won't ever be there to experience it. If they get projects done, cool. If not, I don't care. I'd like to see monumental projects in North America.
Dubai real estate especially lux prices are through the roof past year. Lux and ultra lux up almost 50% thanks to influx of money from Russia and the super wealthy leaving London... Expect big projects to start again.
Big conglomerate office spaces are not a trend anymore, as companies tend to make most low rank employees work from home. Big commercial buildings are getting empty all over the world.
Dubai is desert. And it will always be a desert. They build this expensive build make island for who? Nobody is going to there and live in a desert. They have strict laws... people wa t to go on vacations and have fun, they don't want to be locked for drinking or smoking weed
is one of the many projects advertised, and you can buy a part of it simply in the supermarket (is true), but you must be stupid, because none of this project has been constructed... i.e. "the world", and others. So the question is: someone who already bought an apartment there...will they get the money back? In my opinion the answer is. NEVER
