You know ccr were / are so good , but what I've found is they make great tunes , so such simple chord progressions , 😁
I agree, there choice of songs to cover, usually are simple compositions, and are soothing melodies that are blues based, but give you a feel good vibe! This particular song was written and released originally in 1940 by Huddie Ledbetter, better known as Lead Belly, and was also covered by The Beach Boys! But CCR does my favorite version!
John Fogerty wrote and sang their songs....other than covers like this one...he just sang it.

I wish somebody would do these songs finger style guitar there’s nobody that plays Creedence Clearwater Revival and finger style guitar they do everything else but no cretins not very many eagles either but nobody does this stuff finger style it’s all this simple strumming crap🎸🎸👎
