Cool to see Steve Boocock, Sandtrooper Adie says hi! (Models And Movie Props Whitby, we brought the Stormtroopers to town) great video mate! Miss town loads.
By heck wish we saw them off east coast of Scotland. Can't buy here for love nor money , all go to restaurants in Edinburgh or China. Great vlog❤❤ used to have crab and lobster regularly when we lived in Whitby.
Great video fella. My old man and Brian Waller were some of the last to be working pots commercially out of Bay. His Mike and Louis will be the end of an era with the salmon nets too. Sad times. I hope it picks up again for these lads though. The life and blood of this place!
Yes mate, they are the last of a long line. Hopefully plenty more years for them yet though. Ive got some nice footage of Louis and Mike to post maybe in the summer when the t and j get going again.
Looked like a decent haul, and you are correct about Sandgate Fisheries owning the fish processing place too. I had a discussion about it with the owner last summer when I was picking up my fresh crab and prawns.

Not an easy job. I have a lot of respect for our fishermen.

@@fisherman-gi2mw It certainly killed a lot. I saw them, boxes and boxes of dead or fairly alive shell fish.
Excellent proper local news coverage of things and events which interest you.

Hi Mate, the camera has some pretty good stabilisation built in.

Great video, some characters there lol, will have to look out for their boats next time I'm in Whitby 😊
So interesting to see the working lives of fishermen.

I get smoked salmon from there a couple of times a week, it is without doubt the best you can find.
Forgot to add, and I really do miss freshly landed cod fillets.
@@DS-cf1zc Just chopped one up and put it in Pealla for my tea. Absolutely amazing :||)
