@05:46 FINALLY!!! It's Confirmed: Aerial Rebuild's Backpack IS COMPATIBLE with the OG Aerial- and despite the Bit Stave Escutcheon Pegs on the Aerial and Aerial Rebuild are different, still customizing both Aerials will do ... Hope Bandai NAMCO will regular release the Aerial Rebuild's Backpack and weapons systems set for the OG Aerial, it'll be great 😃 👍
Such an elegant and unique Gundam design, that definitely is a departure from the traditional ones presented by the preceding series. I just want to see this suit next to the Barbatos Lupus as the season 2 upgraded lot.
I do agree about the gunpla making me like the design more. It further reinforces that this is kind of like if you took the Aerial and mixed it with the GP01 Full Burnern. I much prefer Rebuild's beam rifle, shame about the beam rifle being kinda heavy, but when using both hands, it's less of an issue, I imagine, yeah. Thank you for showing off the backpack swapping!
Honestly the more I see her the more I love her. I quite like the new shade of blue and the thrusters. Big enough to look impressive, but not too big as to look bulky. I like Sinanju for the same reason. She still has a bit of her unique shape, but she has some of the classic gundam blockiness again. I think I still prefer the original's more striking torso, but I've definitely come to appreciate rebuild. It certainly helps that she's really impressive when it's time to fight. Seeing Rebuild, Aerial and Lfrith all side by side really cements that they're one of my favorite MS lineages, something about them is really appealing to me.
I'm one of the people who didn't like the Rebuild at all when I saw the lineart and after building it, lo and behold, I like it better than the original Aerial. I admit it's probably a less interesting design, but it has plenty of charm. The Lfrith still tops my list though.
yeah they do look out of place. for me it looked like it was inverted. and i very much preferred that they use the same fin array as the ones on the back of the thighs instead of the claw like look
I built Lfrith,Aerial and the Rebuild and personally for me the design looks worse as time goes. Lfrith:Torso looks like an Oni/owl Aerial: Torso looks like a sea turtle Rebuild: Torso looks like an old, senile and dying sea turtle.
i am getting the feeling, that as non uc shows go on, there mobile suit designs usually become more traditional or katokie inspired. Usually to there detriment as seen with season 2 of gundam 00 or seed destiny as an example.
Even though at first glance, this thing doesn't look as charming as the original Aerial, the design of the kit has warmed up to me as time goes on. Now, I still prefer the aesthetics of the former kit, but I find the looks of the bit-on form on the Rebuild much nicer and more well thought-out than the bit-on original Aerial.
I heard some Amazon review mentioning about needing to be care about the type of paint you use on this particular kit. Which too did you use for panel line your kit? Thank you in advance
Is the shield adaptor of both Aerial and Aerial Rebuild can be swap to one another like using the Original Aerial shield adaptor to the gun-bit of the Aerial Rbuild to form the shield because from what i know peg adaptor of the Aerial Rebuild was not a round peg.
hey, kakarot do you have some recommendations for zeon style kits outside of the "the origin" line? I Really like yhe zakus but I kind wanted to try something other zeon kits for now. Yes I know there some Doom and Goufs in the origin line but I wanted to see more opitions than that!
Not Kakarot but if I may, the Unicorn Zeon HGs (Kshatriya, Sinanju, the Zulus) are all pretty good if you don't mind the pattern stickers! The CCA Geara/Jagd Doga kits are also solid, and there are always the Nightingale and Sazabi. Other personal favourites are the Zudah, Hygogg, R-Jarja and Doven Wolf, all great designs that break the Zaku-Dom-Gouf mold.
@@miragebangbravern compare how many color-correcting stickers the HG GM has when compared to the Aerial Rebuild. DrVinylScratch isn't referring to the entire WfM line, JUST the Aerial Rebuild.

@@spyroclone152 Yeah the construction is a lot more solid than the IBO gundam frames. Though those could always be fixed by gluing shut halves that go together and tightening joints with paint or nail polish.
@@spyroclone152 the line started out really strong, but the kits are becoming increasingly flimsier, less articulated and the sticker sheets size is exploding.
To be honest what they revealed as it relates to Aerial was something I thought we'd have seen in IBO, but then it never happened and instead showed up in WfM. Not that it doesn't make sense there given elements of the setting just that several things in IBO had me thinking about it as something that may have come up until it didn't.
@@vustvaleo8068 Not quite but that was one thing that had me thinking about what WfM ended up doing. Gundam does have loosely similar instances in UC with the Blue Destiny & Phenex. It was mostly down to me thinking up until the series ended & Hajiroboshi was revealed alongside Urd Hunt with that being the last of IBO. I had been reading bits about the 72 demons of the Ars Goetia as S1 progressed. Found that Marchosias had 2 forms, a human form akin to that of a man while the winged wolf was more akin to that of a female. Around this time I happened across Darling in the Franxx. Given how that series had a certain machine with 2 pilots I also thought about how ALICE worked for the S Gundam. Given IBO's angle with the MAs you couldn't quite just throw in an AI but what if you had another human either physically present (which as all the G Frames are 1 person outside of a large alteration wouldn't work) or a soul in the machine so to speak that could act as copilot so on and so forth. Going further because Marchosias had a slight connection with Hashmal I had the idea of taking its head as a shield with a beam cannon to fit the whole spewing something foul from its mouth bit while having two separate minds running a machine in synch would fit Marchosias being described as a strong fighter. If you've seen WfM then you'll know the scene where Prospera is talking about A(Eri)al and given how IBO had the whole thing where some of humanity had an aversion toward things like prosthetics & the whiskers of the Alaya Vijnana. What if there had been a reason as to why there was such an aversion toward it either through Gjallarhorn or someone else unless something had happened in the Calamity War such as with the Gundam Frames, intentional or not, that they didn't want out of their control.
i still prefer the original aerial aerial rebuild just looks something that came from build fighter / diver the sleek and unique appearance just isn't there anymore ,and now it's just another generic protagonist gundam with wing pods like backpack
I prefer the original, I really don't like the backpack with the little yellow clips, no thrusters, and the design looks like a step down from the new proportions of the Aerial

5:57 PAINT THAT HAND RED
It looks like it can fit in with UC, IBO, and even SEED. Hell, something about it reminds me of the Gundam Legilis from AGE
WFM in general seems to pick from all over gundams history to create a sort of greatest hits series.
the backpack caters to the Wing brainrot on me, too, and it does have that "Hyper Mode" flair for G Gundam lovers
