Quick story Scheana…my husband has that exact looking conch shell. He keeps it in the shower so that if he needs me for something whilst he’s taking a shower 😉 … he blows that thing and I can hear it all the way downstairs in the kitchen. He says it’s the mating call of the Himalayan Snow Dragon. LMAO!!

Btw…tell your family that it would be okay to just grill some pork without the barbaric vision of the poor pig and still call it a luau.
I could never watch that in person and yet I LOVE pork.
It’s not barbaric. This is part of Hawaiian couture as much as it is for most to cook a Turkey on Thanksgiving.
