Drew brees was still solid at that time until his last actual season. He was overpayed but he was worth the risk to the saints
Thanks for getting right into the topics. Interesting how the Rams wanted MS9 to adjust his contract a season ago and he said no. Now he wants the Rams to adjust and give him more. I wouldn’t blame the Rams if they didn’t adjust him if MS9 isn’t reasonable. Let’s go with Bennett 2 games and then Garrapolo if so. Stafford is way up there in age, let’s not break the bank.

Goff should have never been paid after year 3 absolutely stupid on the front office. Gurley/Goff were off the team but we were still stuck paying them hampering our Free Agency.
To me Stafford and his wife are acting really low rent. They are rich. Why do the Rams like this what is the Rams upside if he gets hurt. He signed his fair contract he had representation in lawyers and agents reviewing it. It isn't like he has outperformed the contract he was hurt massively the first year of the new contract and missed several games last season.
Lol yes i agree. He was great our superbowl year, but he was injured alot the two years after. Seriously concerning injuries too. He also isnt as big of a star or draw to the fans as you would want him to be. Hes a very boring person on tv for now and his jersey doesnt sell like you would think it would.

He has earned over 300 million in his career, talking about “job security” is not relatable for middle class fans who can live on that for life. That said, is there such a thing as guaranteed money (maybe 43 million) per season, prorated by games he started, for 3 years? He’s a top ten QB, not top five, so pay him and be fair to organization so we can get more talent and play.

Well Les Snead and Sean mcvay ended up getting punished for going into win now mode by Acquiring Mathew stafford . Which at the time was the right move as the only way to upgrade from Jared Goff was to get another number 1 overall pick . The problem is any mcvay is that sure Matthew Stafford has one of the greatest arms in NFL history but the lions spent 12 years running the tires off him by not giving him the best oline he could possibly get .so while he’s younger then Tom he’s got more miles than Tom did when went to Tampa . You have one party the rams that’s been handling Matthew Stafford one year at a time .and a QB who wants one more contract .tge only real winner is the former rams director of college scouting Brad Holmes who got the QB he scouted and a bunch of draft picks for the team he is the GM of . And that same QB bounced the rams out of the playoffs.the rams greatest strength is also it greatest weakness has a massive list of injuries
Give matthew a 3 year 1 year team controled at 199 mill. Who can they get as good and for how much more will it cost. And could matthew get you one maybe two more SB wins . Two would put the rams over the top.
