don't know why it was recommended after three years in IIT Roorkee, that had been one of the best phase of my life when i used to think hard on these kind of prblms and solve them, i still remember all the books i used to solve and the best one for calculus was sameer bansal.....

Problem was moderate, we' re taught to convert the limits of int to same value only problem was calc💀 and taking too much time to solve in real exam(6-8mins) prob leave it in exam.
Put t = f(x) to get the equation f(x^2 - x + 1) = f(x)^2 - f(x) + 1 forall x. Then substitute x = 1 to get f(1) = f(1)^2 - f(1) + f(1) => f(1) = 1, then put x = 0 to get f(1) = 1 = f(0)^2 - f(0) + 1 => f(0) = 0 or 1. But if f(0) = 0, then f(f(0)) = 0 but 0^2 - 0 + 1 = 1 is not 0, hence f(0) = 1.

Then in the second term of integration by parts (which you have to integrate again), you will get the expression x^2/(x^4 + 1) upto some constant factors. To integrate this expression split it up as (x^2 + 1)/(x^4 + 1) and (x^2 - 1)/(x^4 + 1) again upto some constant factors. And you can integrate these individually easily using the substituion x + 1/x = u and x - 1/x = v respectively.

if a student takes as you said 15mins to solve this problem, then what time will remain for remaining problems? and thats only mathematics. there are two other subjects too. I believe the students who crack top ranks of IIT develop a lot of intuition and go by solving problems very quickly.

Second question Mai (-1)^x to ek point ko represent karte hai(graph iska nahi hoga) so iska integration nahi hoga....ab a^x ka integration Mai lna wala term Mai ln(-1) ayega Jo undefined hai
instead of taking common i opened the square quantities after which my numerator became (x+(1/x)-1)^2 and the denominator as it is.. is there anyway to continue from here because i believe after opening the squares if my numerator becomes a perfect sq then thats a pretty good sign and there must be some way following this
