- Today we are back in the junkyard to try and save a rare 64 Ford Falcon Futura. I wish I knew all the history on this car because it is obvious that it was someones hot rod that they raced back in the 70s, the slapper traction bars, air shocks, slotted mags, cut down driveshaft, and floor shifter are a dead giveaway. Lets get this thing pulled out of the woods with our new tractor and find out what we have.

I bought a casing shirt. The new black Falcon is the best I like it better than the white falcon. It very mean looking race car. the slots and the trim and being black are really cool.
My wife and I love your channel and your family, just watched a ticktok where they put pull noodles on thier goats horns pretty funny lol. Idk thought it would give everyone a laugh !
No keep the beaut who’s on my team
Love that body style Falcon! Also love to watch how you include everyone. I love how your family is involved. You never leave anyone out. Even little Oliver, he's precious. Keep them coming.
I appreciate that! Thank you
Needs a 351 Cleveland in the falcon
For me, that 64 Sprint is the coolest Falcon so far. I have always been partial to the 64’s. What a great builder.
Awesome thanks
My cousin raced a sprint on a circle track,I really tried to buy it from him before he trashed it and made it a circle track car it was a nice car and he totaled it soon after it hit the track!
Alot of first gen mustang parts bolt in esp seats and suspension. And. Gauge vluster
64 futura.99%
Sprints were 5- lug, V8 cars. If that is an actual 6 cylinder Sprint- it is extremely Rare, and deserves a full restoration to stock..
As a guy that did body work on cars for 20+ years, I would love to see you restore that beauty...
👍
that would be really nice to see. 👍, but with a bit of an upgrade power plant.
yes, that's what I'm talking about.......
That’s like 3 years worth of work right there😂😂
@@dannyr3346content
So nice to see a family that truly loves spending time together
Thank you
Been watching you guys forever
Never commented on anything before but this one is special.
This beauty needs to be completely restored 🙂🇨🇦
Well I’m here in New Zealand and am addicted to you guys . I love family interactions and the love you guys give and share. Your videos always make me smile and inspire me to be a better person
God bless you all
Matt
Thank you!! Glad you enjoy them
I’m in NZ too. Also quite addicted to these guys !
I'm also in NZ (Christchurch), Josh, and Tosh and family are brilliant. The progression of the last few years is wonderful. From unknowns wishing for sponsors for tools and equipment to where they are today with great sponsors like Holley. More power to them.
What's with all the random beeps during the videos?
I love it when a video comes out, and I rush to watch it. Then I'm sad when it's over. Keep up the great family oriented videos.
Thank you
Oh man, I hope that 65 gets a full-on restoration. It sure deserves it. What a beauty man.
It's a 64...
Get that Skeet Skeet from the Sweet Patina, for the hood hinges. That shizz works. Saving them & getting them back in circulation is important. Finding & flipping helps fund other projects. Or buys the kids time in extra curricular activities. Which is also important. Ty for taking us along
The falcons were cool cars for the time. Right now, I got a 1966 Ford ranchero that has the falcon front end very rear to see anymore. I'm glad to see other people want to save these old cars
Such a cool car! I think you were right those first couple wheels you flipped over were definitely the stockers to your pickup.
To me, your newest Falcon is the best body style ever made. That car would be in high demand if you repaired it and made it a street rod. That’s a super popular body. It looks more aggressive than your earlier body style to me. It looks more like a muscle car in my mind. But that’s why everyone’s allowed to have their own opinions! Great video guys. As always. I just dig it!!
Thank you
@@Sleeperdude Josh, I meant to ask you, I thought I knew the answer but after this video, I’m not sure. I saw the emblems on the car said it was a Futura. And I believe you said it as well. I never saw any Sprint badges so is it indeed just a futura and not a sprint?
vin code would tell. 3rd and 4th characters in the VIN are body code. I imagine this is a code 17, Futura 2 door hardtop. Sample VIN might be something like 4F17F123456... that breaks down as a '64 Futura hardtop, Dearborn built, with a 260 V8. @@PeterHinkle
@@garysimonson9593 right. I believe the Sprint code is 63D if I’m not mistaken. I’m sure Josh knows what it is. He seems to know a lot about them. I’m the one that is confused. When I first saw it, before he picked it up, I thought it was a Sprint. I was under the impression that only the Sprint had that cool rear quarter panel stainless. I guess I was wrong. 😑
yeah, 63D would be the trim tag body code for a Sprint, I think... 63B for a Futura 2dr HT. What I'm seeing suggests it's an original 170, 3 speed car although they might have put that little Dagenham four speed as an option on sixes. @@PeterHinkle
Granny is precious, the video of her sweet face was the best♥️🥰♥️🙏🏼♥️❣️❣️❣️❣️I pray y’all don’t end up gettin sick from bein out in that cold, bless your hearts❣️❣️
I hope granny lives for a very long time. She is hilarious, and seems like a big help. You all are the best on youtube. Thank you.
Falcon was not a race car but the product of someone working min wage doing what they could a little at a time. They had a vision and a dream, working with used parts from friends and anybody that would donate the stuff they had left from upgrading their own car. I did the same with mine. It wasn't what I always wanted but every little bit helped along. 90% was the look and the rest was bad decisions mixed with mismatched parts. And yes it was awesome!! Could be wrong but even with a 6 cyl and a original column shifted 3 speed moved to the floor would have have had a permanent smile on my face. Would have banged the gears like I was racing Grumpy Jenkins at every red light.
@9:48 🤣🤣🤣 We need Mom translation shirts!
Respect 🫡
Your family and the smiles and the love you all have for each other is so awesome to watch. I hope your RUclips channel has the best success. Thanks for the whole some content.
Best life to you.
just a snapshot from SQUEEZi steals the show and makes the whole video worth watching . I love her spontaneity.
Ok...now we're having fun! Love how you have your family working with you. 😊
I had a 65 289/ 271 hp Falcon Futura Sprint in High School. Thanks for the memories.
No problem thanks for watching
That 64 Falcon was almost my first car, but I was too big for it. I ended up getting a 69 Galaxie, and loved it. I had so much fun armor'alling the bench seats and sending friends sliding around on turns. Hahaha, fond memories of hearing laughing and screaming from being mushed against a wall on a turn gravitron style. 🤙
I agree with Ralphie. That's probably my favorite body style for an old Ford. I hope to see you guys bring that Ol' girl back to life.
Omg. I love this car. I had a 66 Falcon Futura Sport Coupe. The interior looked like that of the same year Mustang. I'm so jealous right now. Wish I still had all the good old cars I had back in the day. I hope you restore this beauty.
No skipping ads is the only help i could offer for this channel
Thank you
I'd love to make a suggestion about cleaning these super moldy/mildewy cars.
You can purchase high concentrations of bleach, like pool shock. Dilute to 2 or 3 percent with water. Apply and allow to soak for a few minutes. You'll see the mold and dirt just melt off. Then use the pressure washer to finish the job.
Also, and extremely important. Please be careful mixing bleach with dish soap. There's usually a warning. For suds, use laundry soap or some kind of car wash surfactant.
Love watching your videos!
Ralphie just cracks Oliver up to pieces!
Yes he does
I have always thought the 64/65 Falcon looks like it is doing forty just sitting there. Beautiful cars.
As Cheech said: "small steering wheel; you can still drive the car with handcuffs on!"
Don’t you just love Granny Goat! She’s the best! A sweetheart!
Josh, you got 2 donkeys in the pasture, don't you ,each with 4 leg power. Hook them up to pull your Falcon out of the shop. Them is bored, give them something else to do. You could use that other tractor to pull the Falcon ,save you and your children's back. Weld a push thingy on the front of that little tractor. it's got enough oomph to push a small car. Put that Big and little tractor to work, make them earn their keep. Use your head more and less of your back. Take from one who knows. I am 66 yrs. old, shouldn't listen to my daddy more. He plowed many a field in Mississippi behind a mule,he ought to know.
You got a gem there!! Thanks for trying to save her as she deserves it. Hopefully will see you guys get that 302 in her!! Thanks again.
So glad you posted this video. I was worried about my favorite RUclips family being in that nasty storm last week. Glad you guys are safe
Yes we are awesome thanks
@Sleeperdude thanks brother. I learn a lot by watching yall. Keep up the great content
Well Sleeper, You have me hooked on the Falcon - Had the same car in a ragtop when I was a kid, only it was a golden color - She's a keeper, and even Squeze is in on it - YaHoo!
I bet that ragtop looked good
The old Ford cleaned up good it would make someone a good çar you don't see too many of them
Running around. I bet it was cold washing that thing on the kids still right in the middle of it . They are always right there with you. Awesome family. Love watching it would be nice if they were new ones every day .
Thank you
That gravel is gonna form its own ecosystem with all that moss, mold, mud and decomposed rat bits soaking into it. 🤣
That was some pretty rough terrain those cars are getting pulled out of, I CAN NOT believe Josh is the only one wearing the appropriate footwear.
Santa Clause sooooo needs to bring you a professional tire machine for Christmas! 🎅🏼 🎄 He also needs to drop that four eyed Mustang off at my place on his way back to the North Pole. 😬
🤣🤣🤣
In 1963, all Falcons came with the four lug wheels and tires... In 1964 and 1965, the Sprint Futura's all came with a V8 and five lug wheels and tires... If I were still a younger man, I would try and get this one off of you... I used to collect Falcons (Econolines and Rancheroes too) and I have owned them all except this bodystyle and the Sprint Futura convertable... But I am no longer able to crawl around under one the way you would need to if you wanted to fix this one up right... She would make a great daily driver for someone with a smallblock, nine inch, and new front suspension though... You are a lucky man! It is great to see your whole family involved in cars and in what you do in general... That is a very rare gift...
What do you mean Squeeze is taking over, she did that a long time ago, her personality , infectious smile , and individuality has won over a lot of viewers , bring on Squeezerdude.
Man I just gave a set of seats away that was for that car.❤
Oh wow
Love the car guys! More proof that slot mags look great on absolutely anything lol. Can't wait to see it on the channel again!
Да! Хоть я и не знаю английского языка всё равно смотреть интересно! Приятно, когда хорошие машины возвращают в жизнь! 👍
It's nice that the Google translator works fairly well.
We just love Y'all. Thank you for loving on our special needs boy, Isn't he wonderful? God Bless Each of you with the best of health and safety. Thank you for good family entertainment. Get some rest
I had one just like this, in 1975 that I sold to my brother for $200.00, and I'm still waiting for him to pay me. LOL. Love it.
Oh my gosh that’s funny
As far as this old man can remember, they went from a 260 cid V8 engine in '64 to 289 cid in '65. You could get four speed manual or three speed automatic. Either two or four barrel carburetors. Of course, a six cylinder was also available. Basically same choices as Mustangs. The Sprint convertibles are the most desirables.
Many blessings to y'all!
Actually the other way around the Mustang had the same choices as the Falcon seeing as the Mustang was built on the Falcon platform, now having said that Josh you’re right you can’t keep the all, this one deserves a full restoration and a spot in the fleet though, she is a beauty. What’s nice about this one is it’s a factory manual car, so you could drop that 302 with a 4 speed gear box in it and drive the heck out of it.
Why not put a 427 windsor in it?
302s weren'tstock in these 64s,a 260 was ,so go for as much hp as you can
What a great find Josh! I know y’all will turn that thing back into a certified ripper!
I really like this car. Its sweet! You should do a complete restore from top to bottom. Painted and all shined up. Y'all need a show car for sure. This one is perfect for that!! 💯😎❤
That car is beautiful. The Patina is MINT. But, lets be real, its just a solid body. No frame, no floors, no drivetrain, no brakes, steering issues, shocks will need replacing, no wiring, gas tank is probably junk. With the amount of projects you already got, this is a seller. Maybe throw some plywood floors, a running engine of any sort and a boat tank just to make it easier to move and sell. But that is still a lot of work. Tractor proving its worth already is good. Its the cold season, yall stay warm.
I love how you include your whole family in these vids.
When I watched the video of yall getting that new tractor I kept thinking, This is gonna be a game changer for getting cars out of tree rows..looks like I didn't have to wait long to see...I love the way this mid 60s Futura looks its like a cross between your early shorter falcon and a 64 impala..or a chevy 2 ...it just looks like a racecar...excited for this one!!
Yes for sure thank you
Not bad ⚡️
Nice restoration for someone josh great video nice to see squeezy getting involved ❤❤
we havent seen a full restore. maybe this is the perfect time to do it, this beauty deserves it and squiz you definitely need more airtime!
Nope. The Ford econoline PU, would be a better project. This is more like a practice vehicle to learn body work.
@@Hello.ThisizBOB or @sleeperdude can give us a selection to vote on. would be nice to see what the viewers wanted to see again in full glory ✌🏻
That is the hardest year falcon to get the trim for and you have all the side moldings and they’re in good shape. God always looks out for you, and I could tell you why because you and your family honor his name
That’s awesome thank you
Thank you all it is so much fun watching your family 👪 I really ❤ love it thank you 😊.
Josh and family. As someone who has been in the pressure wash industry for a long time I love how you and the family methodically wash everything. One thing that may be useful for you is to get a turbo nozzle for your washer. Also I’m sure at some point you will get a hot water washer for your shop. Great job. Keep up the videos. Take care. 😊
I love what you and your family does with these cars. Great family, great work and awsome content. Happy holidays!
Thank you
I can't wait to be able to meet you and your family. Been a fan for awhile.
What a cool Falcon. I love the steering wheel. It is just like the one I used to run in my old '72 Nova I had. This car needs to be built again. A gasser Falcon would be great. It will be interesting to see what you decide to do with it. Have a blessed week Sleeperdude family. Keep up the awesome videos.
Couldn't agree more!
Lol Ralphie's reaction to the engine bay being painted. Perfect
Dude PLEASE build this car… 100% my favorite vehicle of yours.. not much of a ford guy, but I have a huge soft spot for these falcons. This one seems to have pretty good bones to it
She's a bute... definitely worth the restoration effort. A great adventure as always and super cool content. Appreciate you sharing this save😎🇺🇸😇🛠️👨🔧☺️
Boy, I tell you what Josh you are definitely keeping yourself busy. I wish that I could afford to put out content right now but with the holidays and everything the way it is and my Escalade having the issues that it has the brakes are stuck lol keep doing what you’re doing. I hope you guys had an amazing Thanksgiving, if I don’t hear from you guys before have a merry Christmas and a happy new year God bless
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Check your rubber brake lines, biggest cause of stuck brakes.
@@blakeneysanders4264 it is a figure of speech. The brakes are stuck on me creating content not on my vehicle. I am a retired mechanic of 30 years and I also have my own RUclips channel. I am going to be doing a EFI to carburetor conversion on my Vortech Escalade here, soon once all of the parts arrive with the holidays and everything else going on and working like I have been, I have not had the time to do anything. I was just commenting on how much content he has been putting out lately I commend him for that I envy that.
@TheHomeWrencher_1776 I apologize, I didn't realize and hope I didn't offend you. I missed read the comment.
@@blakeneysanders4264 no offense taken and we all make mistakes… trust me I
Know this one..🤣 But thank you for your comments and support!
Not a Falcon guy, but this body style is my favorite. Another great video 😊
That silver overpaint in the engine bay was an, " Unfortunate", decision !
Yes
You guys need to sign up for the Matt's offroad games. They have a few spots left for non off roads RUclips influencers. They will supply the appropriate vehicle and casings. Matt's Off Road Recovery, you can do it!
👍👍👍
Another awesome video. Love your family and how y'all interact with each other as there is so much love and respect for each other and Oliver. Now that Squeezy is on camera more we get to see her personality a lil more. She's competitive, sharp as a tack and a trip as in funny. She's a show stealer for sure. I haven't heard the term "jump a coke bottle " in years. The more you cleaned that falcon the better she looked. She's a beaut Clark. Also loved the tractor purchase video... Merry Christmas!
The new tractor already earning its keep! Great stuff as always family 👏👍
Can’t wait to see how this one goes spend several hours a day watching your videos
Hope you enjoy it!
The car has great lines.
Maybe a budget restoration and then sell it. It would be great content.
josh and tosh you guys have such an awesome family! I love seeing a family do stuff like this together and seeing kids happy to be spending time working on cars together. I wish I could've done this with my dad but he left when I was young. I love seeing a happy family spend time together and having the kids get interested in the automotive hobby! Especially with wawa and squeezy we need more women in car culture! I love seeing women who actually like cars and learning and working on them is really cool to see! keep up the awesome work guys!
Great video great car. I don't usually like the gasser style cars but this looks like it would be a cool gasser drag car. Kids were classic in this video and Mom with her " fart sauna " comment got me too. You guys are great. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
Beautiful video
Thank you
It's so satisfying watching the pressure washer take off everything
This 64 would make a killer drag race car.
1st!!!!
Yes!!
I'm happy to find another great channel. I can't do mechanic stuff, so I live vicariously through RUclips.
Awesome thank you
My neighbor had a 64' red Ford Falcon here in Newton Falls, Ohio but,it had the 289 HO motor and it would move! I love that body style myself. It would be cool to bring it back to life. Thanks for sharing! It was my first time of seeing your show. I'll definitely check back.
Absolutely one of my most favorite cars of all time
Man love the falcon . Your family is awesome working together….. saving fantastic old cars Thank you…..
Thank you
That Falcon is beautiful. Y’all can make it into a monster racer or pretty pretty cruiser. She’s purty.
For sure e
You should do a Christmas video like the end of It's A Wonderful Life, running around all the supporting cast of the show!
Yelling "Merry Christmas, Oliver!", "Merry Christmas, Mike the Neighbor!", "Merry Christmas, you ole' Dollar General!"
This road Snake is coming back to life bit by bit by family power. It is gonna be awesome when he's full-time action ferrsure😂
That’s cool that all the kids took shifts on powers washing
I’m not a huge ford guy but I’m really digging the futura falcon
Are you all sure Granny's from this universe? LOL. She's so lovable. She might be old but she's loved by you all.
I loved the 64 and 65 Falcon Sprints and the 64 and 65 Mercury Comet Cyclones; I grew up when these cars were new. A friend had a beautiful red Mercury Cyclone red interior also. I just turned 76. the cars were great in that era.
This car should be the one you all go all out on. all new mechanical, interior, drive train but don't touch the paint whooo boy I guarantee
👍👍
Winter is coming. It's time to work in that beautiful shop on some of the back burner projects . We will be watching.
In 1965 a friend bought a falcon 4 door,orderd it with a289 hipo motor&4 speed trans.A real sleeper stop light bandit..lol
Oh awesome
That is one fantastic looking ride. I looooove Falcons. They have one of the finest looking bodys. ❤
I absolutely LOVE that body style! It is begging to be a gasser! Get one of those drop straight axle kits and go to town. She deserves to get floor pans and be brought back. If I was 10 -15 years younger I would be buying this one from you!
Five Slot Mags!! My Favorite! That farm is FILLED with choice RODS BABAY!!! It's so cool that the young boy their sitting is such a joyful child! They can make him laugh with almost anything! He's amazing!
That’s a great body style!!! Glad no toes were frozen washing it!!!
that piece with king of the hill had me rolling🤣
I'd love to see the sleeperdude family take on SEGA with a full old school gasser falcon. Straight axle, tub, toploader, and a screaming 302 with a tunnel ram!
You know literally every Herbie Movie that was made had the plot for it based around the very thing The Sleeperdude family is doing. At least for some of their cars. Find an old unloved race car that has been discarded to the history books of not really worth anything. Then taking it home and discovering it's inner race car from days gone past and loving it back to LIFE! How AWESOME is THAT!!! That's why the Restored channel used that name because it's like what Christ does with broken lives. He says "I made you for much more than this!". "Let me in and I'll Restore you and even give you life more abundant!".
Whenever I see these old forgotten cars I always think about what it would've been like to see it new on the car lot back in the 60s
Interactions with Oliver is my favorite. Brings a smile to my face! So awesome and you all are amazing.
Lucky you finding that Falcon in that good of shape!
Two firsts, the tractor you bought worked and this Falcon had the cleanest, nest free interior of all the video’s I’ve watched.
🤣🤣🤣
