Joe, that is very kind of you, thank you! As for calibrating the raildriver for Run 8, that's REALLY easy, because, Run 8 has built in support for the Raildriver. All you need to do is plug in the Raildriver to the USB, then start Run 8. In Run 8 press function key F1. You will see a tab along the top (2nd from the right) labeled "RailDriver". Click that, and turn on "Use RailDriver" (if that isn't already on - should be green). You can then reset it, or click the Calibrate/Test tab to make sure it is calibrated. Enjoy!
arthurhouston3 There IS a transfer caboose (“shoving platform”) I could have brought from Victorville. I should have used that for this long shove, good point!
Do you still use Run8? Do you have a prefered server? What is the difference between The Depot and Highball? I just found these videos and really enjoy them. Very educational. I just bought a RailDriver and will be installing it soon. Happy railroading and thanks!
I DEFINITELY still use Run 8. It is by far the most realistic simulation of real railroad operations available IMHO. I run almost exclusively on the Depot +. All my videos were created running on that server. I really like the realism of the operations. I’ve run on Highball and enjoyed it also. But I don’t run it often enough to know that much about it.
@@TTownTrainFan thank you one more question I have the raildriver where do you go to map out the buttons for Run 8 would there be a page on the Depot for that or in the base game itself
@@CaptainRon542 It's built into the game. Comes pre-mapped but you can change any of the controls to what you want them to be inside the game. Run8 has Raildriver support built in! 🙂
@@TTownTrainFan any one of them. I am from another country and your videos really help me to understand the run 8 operations. Thank you so much for that.
On Amazon.com I found a custom mouse pad, you send them a .jpg of what you want on the pad and they print them for you. I bought 5 of them for my model railroad (I'm a model railroader first, train-simmer second. My model railroad web site is kcs3.webs.com )
Eric, it isn't "my" teamspeak. You can join the server I'm on, it's free! Go to www.thedepotserver.com/ to join. They will give you the Teamspeak login etc. I'm just one of many members on the Depot Server. There is also another good one called Highball Run 8, at www.highballrun8.com/ You may like that one better. And there are even more. Welcome to the Run 8 world!
After watching you do this i really want this simulator now.
Conductors extra pay on this job is going to be trough the roof.
@SteveDavis I really do watching your Run 8 videos, I also have a raildriver could you please tell me how you got it calibrated to work with Run 8?

to join one of these servers on Run 8 do you need to have all the sub divisions or just the basic game that has Mojave and Needles sub
You only need the basic game, at least for The Depot. It will mean you can only run on the routes you have of course.

arthurhouston3 I didn’t know that, thanks Art. See you in Houston!
Good video. If its possible can you do a video on how to switch Victorville. Thanks
Billy Billy Do you mean the Cajon local R-CAL0102? Or do you mean the CEMEX plant switcher?

Steve maybe CAL0102 and the CEMEX plant. Thank you
Billy Billy Sounds good, I’ll do that! Thanks for the suggestion.
