Not gonna lie,I was expecting Bara wa Utsukushiku chiru and Ai no Hikari to Kage to be in this. 😢 This sounds very Jpop and not very BeruBara like... But maybe the songs will grow on me with context. Edit : Oscar 's songs and the one between her and André have started growing on me! ❤
@@missplainjane3905 Music is key in Rose of Versalles. 1st anime OST was iconic, also the Takarasuka musicals. They were all diferent among them and sons of its time. But the OST of this movie... is grey. Modernization is not the problem, the problem is that is souless.
Extremely disappointing. This is just a random pop collection that has nothing to do with Versailles no Bara. Nothing reflects its sweetness or its dramatic moments, nor the pain of the parting, nor the unrequited love. While the old cd contained songs that were clearly influenced by the 70s music, some at least tried for half of the track to recall classical instruments (piano, violins etc), and the singing was at least done in French sometimes, or reflecting sort of an opera style. This could be anything and does NOT fit anything in an anime that takes place at the end of the 1700. While I was happy to see a drawing style closer to Ikeda's and costumes with more details, the coloring is just horrible and it takes away much of the realism, going for something extremely saturated and flashy. The hair texture is unbearable to watch and the music ruining everything is just the cherry on top. It's remarkable how nothing these days can be... well, remarkable.
@@missplainjane3905 You should, it's a masterpiece, and I'm not saying it because I like it. It's truly one of the most remarkable anime out there. I understand a younger audience may be drawn to this not knowing what's the version we had for almost 50 years, but you'll see the difference immediately once you start the series.
@Neerepha Just to be reasonable, I think it's best not to compare the old and new work. Since one is a series while the other is a movie. Instead just enjoy each one as how it is being presented.
@missplainjane3905 I'm not comparing how they develop the story, that's of course going to be different because of the difference in length. All I was focusing on was the impact of the sound and visuals. However I really appreciate that in the movie fashion is better represented and that Marie Antoinette really looks like the queen she's supposed to be and she also wears some of her real dresses.
I'm sorry but this soundtrack is garbage and it's an insult Original anime And the manga itself Quite frankly. If the full version of the movie doesn't have the original melody it will not be that good

歌を聞くとシーンが思い出され、明日にでもまた観に行きたくなります（入場者特典のイラストが変わってからと思っているのに）😅

私は原作リアルタイムの50年来のファンです。宝塚、アニメ、実写映画などすべて見てきて、その時代時代で精一杯良いベルばらが作られていたと思ってます✨
それで、今の技術をもって作られた作画はとても細かく（衣装の模様など圧巻ですよ😍）美しいかぎりでした。
原作の濃いエピソードを113分にすべて入れるのは到底無理な話しなので、キャラクターの心情を描くことに力を入れて、ストーリーを上手くまとめています🌹
ベルばら初心者の20代後半の娘と観ましたが、娘も感動した😭様子でした。

今回の映画に関して、ろくに池田理代子先生の原作も読まずにアニメのベルばらと今回の映画を比較して「違うだろ」発言をしているRUclipsrの方がいたりしてビックリしました。
原作、アニメ、実写版映画、宝塚、全てをみてきている50年来のベルばらファンの私からしたら、純粋にベルばら関連の媒体が増えるのは嬉しいです。

そうなんですよね。
何年経っても新作が作られるから新規ファンも生まれるのに、旧作至上主義の人を中心に新作を否定していて、それはこの新作を「私が描きたかったことを全部やってくれた」と評した池田理代子先生すら否定してるってことなんですよね。
あれは…酷かったですね。

I never watched the classic version, but I love the modern take on the remake, had saved a playlist of it.

Sorry, I didn't watched the orginal version. But I like the modern remake of it.
映画観ましたが個人的にはミュージカルみたいなところが非常に無駄だと思いました。
そんなところに尺使うのなら原作の大事なシーンやエピソードを2〜3ほど入れられたと思います。
