Love the drawstring bag! I packed lego blocks in mine last year! I bought a big set of blocks and divided them up into drawstring bags. I’m going to try to make my own cloth pads, but I did buy a few packs off Amazon that I’m going to divide up, and I’m going to try to make the pul bags. I get those sewing kits too! She could use the pillowcase to make something out of with her kit! I sent little pieces of fabric with some of mine last year.
Thanks for the great ideas. I loved what you said about the boys working for the family and probably not getting boxes. It made me cry and inspired me to make more if them. God bless you sister. I love you!!
You sure packed these full! Great job. I love it that you put a lot of items that can take them into adult years like sewing, school supplies, napkins etc. while keeping fun things.
Thank you for posting this, you definitely inspire me. Personalizing these boxes will really mean a lot to those children who will receive them. God bless you for your generous heart...
Love your heart for this I can tell you just have a passion for these children! I too love packing boxes and over the past years I've learned a few tricks so I hope this comment helps 😊 first off packing smaller boxes is best for Samaritans Purse as it helps more Children to be reached with the message if Jesus which is the best part and cuts down on their shipping cost one box fits roughly 22 shoe boxes but when you have larger boxes it only fits up to 10 so shipping costs go way up!..however there are ways to get the most into a regular sized shoe box. I usually take all my items out of the packaging to save space and some countries don't have a waste system so taking that out will help. The sewing kit I bought for my boxes but when I checked the quality I noticed the dollar general three dollar set was alot better! The dollar trees set with tiny scissors were very flimsy and almost questionable as to safety but the dollar general had full sized scissors tape measure buttons safety pins and so much more even a pin cushion! (again I bought those little kits too so that's something I learned myself 😊) one last thing the soap is a great thing when you feel that item needs to be in the box by all means do it! ...something to keep in mind is what is going to last and what will make the biggest difference an education? a new skirt? or a bar of soap that might last a month or two..again thats more of just an opinion on my part so listen to what your convictions are but its something I thought about. Anyways wonderful boxes good to see the cloth pads too! those are wonderful!!! Anyways great boxes Keep packing and wonderful video I really enjoyed it!
Such a good box!! Why do they need green pens I wonder. My favorite thing in the boys box is that you sent 5 bars of soap!! I didn't know girls couldn't go to school if they didn't have pads, I'll have to remember that. My favorite item was the sowing kit with the extras. Loved everything. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
great boxes! I also pack year round for operation xmas child. it is such a wonderful charity.God bless you! you are going to make some children very happy!
Love it!! Fantastic point about including a practical gift in the older shoeboxes such as beads and string and sewing kits etc. Really nice, practical but fun boxes.
just a tip for people watching this who are planning to do a box this year! -one thing I was told that I didn't even think about was to not include any packaging. there is generally not a good garbage/waste removal system in place where these boxes go, and the plastics ends up in the environment. It also makes it easier to pack more things in anyway! Zip Lock bags, however, are great, and get reused and saved by the children and their families. another thing to point out is that if you put in multiples of something (5 bars of soap for example) generally, they will be separated and put into other boxes that are lacking that item. We packed 3 bars of soap knowing they would be distributed to others. in the case of the soap, they expect it is unwrapped, and put in a zip lock. so that 3 pack of ivory soap was most likely opened and given to others.
What material did you use for the pads? I’m interested in making some but don’t think I can even find the bamboo charcoal fleece stuff...but I can get flannel!
Some tops are cotton and some flannel. Inners I just used 1/2 layers of thin cotton terry. Backings are all PUL. You don't have to use a waterproof backing. They are greatful for whatever but I know it's definitely helpful to have if they need to go to school.
I love the boxes but I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to put use items in the box so the kid folk you got would probably be taken out and you could put the Legos inside of the bag you made also have you ever heard a pillowcase dresses I think they cool God bless you one more thing. Why didn't you put a stuffed animal in the boxes I know they'll teenagers but they're still kids and I love putting stuff animals in the box because hugging a stuffed animal in the best God bless you and have a great day God love you too 🕊️
I put in what my heart felt I should put in each box. If you feel you want to put in a stuffed animal in your boxes, that's your choice. My choice was to put other things. If they took out that one used item then that's ok but I put it in anyway.
@@gabriellazavala6559 sorry if my comments offended you or anything I really did like your boxes they were really good I just hate it when people put use items in a box because I think we should always do our best for people in need but your boxes are good and I really put like Teddy because when I'm hurt or sad teddy bears make me feel better I understand that most people don't put teddy bears in the boxes but that's why I think it's important to do so anyway have a great day and may God bless you really hope you wasn't offended by my common 😋😋
I didn't know the boxes could be that big. I have a plastic box that is 11 7/8 x 7, but I'm not sure if I can use them, I thought they had to be the size of a shoe box.
I was thinking on buying pads for a girl shoe box but then I thought "but what's she going to do when her package finishes?" and voilà, I found your video
This video is amazing! A lot of RUclips Operation Christmas Child videos are blatantly sexist (heaven forbid a boy get something pink! *sarcasm*). Even the official website is mildly sexist in their suggestions putting blocks and action figures under boys toys and not girls, and beads and dolls under girls toys and not boys for example- these are perfectly gender neutral items!
Just stuff it all in there. Lol! Last year we did simpler boxes with the regular samaritins purse shoeboxes. It was hard to fit it all. What I wanted to go in one box had to be divided by 3 because it just didn't fit. 🤷
I love how you follow the spirit on what to put in your boxes. These children will be truly blessed!
Love the drawstring bag! I packed lego blocks in mine last year! I bought a big set of blocks and divided them up into drawstring bags.

This was so thoughtful and planned out. Thanks for the tip about the soap!
Thanks for the great ideas. I loved what you said about the boys working for the family and probably not getting boxes. It made me cry and inspired me to make more if them. God bless you sister. I love you!!
I am so glad that my humble video inspired so many to make more boxes. You have an amazing and blessed day! 😍
You sure packed these full! Great job. I love it that you put a lot of items that can take them into adult years like sewing, school supplies, napkins etc. while keeping fun things.
Thank you! I tried my best to include all I could!! Thanks for watching my video.

Great gifts! Your sympathetic heart towards the older kids is wonderful!
That’s amazing that you made cloth pads!finally someone who gets what is needed! Love the boxes!
I tried to think of necessities while also providing a few fun goodies. Cloth pads are a must!!!

Thank you for your lovely comment! They use green pens for grading just like kids do here with red pens!

If they did separate the bars of soap, that is completely fine with me! That just means that what I sent in reached more children!
:D exactly!
This video really helped me out I learned more about the boxes ! Thank you I will be buying ivory soap from now on for my boxes !
Thank you the video, excellent packed boxes. I always pack extra teen boy boxes for that very reason. :)
Good job. ❤️
I also plan to do this age group. Wal-Mart has the flexible composition books and they are very reasonable now.
Lynda Black I picked a bunch up! Thanks for the comment. ❤
God has a plan for the boxes and for you also maybe the girl could make a pillowcase dress God bless you
