Join Filoli’s head curator Julie Bly DeVere for cocktails in the kitchen during the Second World War and learn how the kitchen staff worked with rations and ingredients from Filoli’s own Victory Gardens while listening to boogie woogie on the radio.
    Manhattan recipe:
Popular as a women’s drink in post-war America, thanks to its cherry garnish and sweetness.
    45mL rye/bourbon
    15mL sweet vermouth
    2 dashes of angostura bitters
4 drops of cherry juice (optional)
Build the first two ingredients, stir until balanced and strain.

Hey guys, you do so many phantastic things there. Be sure that we appeeciate this video very much. My question: For what reason the stair runner was changed from beige to blue? I needed a bit of time to get used to it, but now I find it great. Was that a historic reason to change the color? Please go on with what you do there. You are great! 🤗👏Regards from Germany! 🙋‍♂️
