Lin Fei is one of my favorite donghua characters. As dramatic as his situation is at the beginning, he still is a very positive character and reaches out to make friends instead of becoming a one-man-army like so many other donghua main characters. He's not stronger than everyone else or a hidden genius, he just dabbles in a lot of different cultivation types and picks what he thinks is useful for him. And then there's Shi He. I LOVE this man. He's adorable. He does a complete 180 from intimidating possible adversary to a complete Lin Fei fanboy. It's sweet.
This is the best ! Beautiful art work also, the pace of the story was great, nothing confusing like missing plots. Another important aspect is i didn't have to stop watching just because of the speed being too fast. Thanks for posting ❣
I've watched A LOT of different series like this and this is one of the best. Great story & characters with just the right amount of comedy. Hell even where they ended it was great. I reallllly hope we get more of this one! 😁😁

Yeah, I thought so too :( Watching this show again I noticed something: I am pretty sure Lin Fei will end up with Qiu Yuehua in the future - but instead of introducing her like the typical donghua love interest, they gave this treatment to... Shi He? Yuehua is pretty and powerful etc, but doesn't really care a bout Lin Fei. Shi He on the other hand decides on the spot that Lin Fei is awesome and that he wants to fight him again. Whenever the audience can hear his inner monologue it's about Lin Fei. He learned new techniques... for Lin Fei. He hopes to meet Lin Fei during the elimination rounds. He looks super worried while watching Lin Fei fight in the KO rounds. When Shi He loses his own fight against Yuehua, his last thought is... Lin Fei. ..??? I'm not a crazy shipper mind you, but it had me wonder...

The series would be perfect if they could write LinFei/QiuYuehua with that same dynamic regardless of gender, making their romance more genuine and deep, instead of going for usual uwu/comedy/accidental rape cliche.
I've watched quite a few donghua for past couple of weeks and I must say, this has got be one of my favourites! From the really beautiful and unique character designs to the positive and lovable personality of the MC and his friends which is pretty rare now a days! Loved it❤️

I just watched all of whats released so far for Demon Hunter and its a new favorite. He makes friendships and you find yourself liking those characters as well. The animation quality is amazing. Good story. Good music/beat at the right time. I highly recommend
