As part of the fall 2018 season of our #OnCivilSociety series, we invited Rebecca Traister to discuss her new book "Good and Mad", a week after the historic U.S. midterm elections, where a record number of women were elected in the midterms: Americans elected the first two Muslim women and the first two Indigenous women in Congress; Americans also elected more than 20 black women to Congress, as well as the youngest woman ever elected to Congress (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez).
Traister discussed the importance of women's rage in shaping politics, and the ways in which this anger has been brushed aside and ignored by the patriarchy.
