It's weird isn't it? You have to either be extremely talented/smart, or have major issues that make you stand out to get ahead in the world... being friends with the right people works too, but you better be prepared to do a lot of ass kissing if you wanna stay in the loop.

Just listening to a few episodes of his podcast should give you the answer. There's no single reason, it's an amalgamation of things that make him unlikeable. Here's a few... - he constantly tries to crowbar jokes into a conversation, but they've never been funny. - laughs at his own jokes - spends a lot of time referring to being a comedian, and how long he's been "paying his dues" - he spends even more time reminding everyone that he's Jewish That should get you started.
- he never finds any faults in himself and attacks anyone that critiques him - he’s very, very sensitive - his ego makes him believe he’s George Carlin - he talks like a tough guy
He is great as a guest but his podcast is rouuuuugh. It's more about him then the guest and that gets annoying especially when there isn't much to him.

I'm 5 mins in and already it's pure Stuttering John - charmless, blisteringly unfunny, tiresome, totally unselfaware, unreflective, moronic, predictable, full of his naked braggadaccio, no self-deprecation...urgh, everything about it is just wrong...you guys should def do a show where you just watch it in real time and deconstruct!!!!! The film in its entirety might be a push, even for dabblers...but worth doing something on this monumental waste of carbon!
