Thanks, mates, for sharing this WD episode with a touch of sadness 😥Unfortunately, there is some kind of "black streak" with Fiestas in WD. First time buying the Mk1 XR2 Mike damaged the front of the car driving into the camera car while filming. This time 1300S Fiesta was stolen a day prior to being unveiled ((( But anyway, the show must go on!

I suspect the thief didn't realise what they were stealing, there is no way they will be able to sell it anywhere

Yes you can sell it. Just change the VIN tag with a legitimate wreck or other car. You can buy the VIN tag and title here in the states for around $500…..It’s technically not legal but people do it. I’ve been in the car business 30yrs and have seen all kinds of crooked crap. It’s a shame😞

I had a 1979 Ford fiesta I had it for 8 years. I wouldn't shift the gears until the valve springs would chatter. I did that for 8 years straight everywhere I drove. You cannot blow them engines up and they will last you a lifetime. I know I had five of these. Take the air cleaner off take all the smog pump stuff off for emissions, and run a straight pipe exhaust through it. Advance the timing a little bit by the distributor. And you will not believe the power that these little things have. I took it to the racetrack at Mount Holly springs in Mount Holly. Believe it or not I was beating 350 Chevys with four barrels sticking out of the hood. Plus I was spinning first second and I couldn't hook up. And this fiesta was bone stock just took things off that I just mentioned. My uncle's Jaws dropped. They used to tell me you don't know what fast is when I was younger. They used to say if you think that car is fast you don't know what you're talking about. I said I do it's fast for what it is. When I'm going through the gears the passenger guy which was my brother says it's hard to sit up and grab something off the dash. He's like it just keeps pulling and pulling. He was also impressed. They used to pick on me until they saw it run at the racetrack. Now needless to say they really like these little cars now. Now my uncle has one of these tubbed it out made it rear wheel drive tubular frame and has a roll cage, and he is still racing it to this day. He had a 351 Cleveland engine in his though lol 😂. I'm not sure what he has in it as of now. As you can see I could talk about this car forever, this car impressed me and so many others. They truly are awesome engines they put in these little cars. I'm not sure if the 80s fiestas have these engines in it but the older style engines the years 1977, 78, 79. Are gold to me. They will last you forever.....👍👍. I would really love to hear anybody's experience with these cars in the comments. Excited to hear if anybody else had the same experiences like I did. Note: these cars are very slow with the smog pump and all the controls on it. And if you don't take the air cleaner off and put a straight pipe exhaust through it an advance the timing a little. Just had to mention that....

Those robbers who stole the car think they got away with stealing that car but God see’s everything. They got away with nothing. Not to mention bad Karma will come upon them 10 fold. They obviously don’t know about things like this.

Gutted to see it was stolen, ironic how it went from possibly the most valuable 1300s to the least valuable in the instant it was stolen!

someone knows where this car is as they can't sell it as it's to hot if there is only 4 left that are still registered on being on the road in the uk so it will either have been rung and will be under a new identity or it may be sold for parts!!! I hope you get it back as it was an expensive restoration and rebuild! I reckon somebody's who was staying in the hotel knew some scroats and tipped them off you had a mk1 fiesta in a trailer on a hotel car park so some tea leafs come along in a 4x4 and towed it off and are holding the car as a bargaining tool hoping that you put up a big reward for any information leading into the finding the mk1 ford fiesta 1.3 super sport fezzer!!! I hope it turns up ASAP!!! 😎

The MK1 Ford Fiesta had a whopping 52 hp with 59 ft lbs of torque, yet the Brits consider this a valuable car? The biggest laughing stock production car of all time, the Yugo, put out 3 more hp than a British Mk1 Fiesta!

    Fantastic
I bought a silver 1300s from new, and had it for 8 years
It’s so great to see you guys restore it
I spent many a freezing day on the lawn in Chelmsford replacing things that failed
I had 2 radiators, 3 water pumps, and alternator, the entire brake pipes to the rear, a starter motor and the front shocks. It was a great wee car for me, but it just started to fall apart more and more. I did the terrible thing of “well I’ve just spent £x in it replacing that part so I’ll keep it, only for another thing to fail. When the bonnet hinges failed and came away, I superglued them on just so it would hold up enough to take it to the Ford dealer to trade in for an Xr3i
It worked and I waved goodbye
The thing I remember was the horrible seats. It literally was like sitting on a towel over a metal frame. In journeys from Glasgow to Chelmsford I had to stop, not because of the journey but my arse couldn’t take any more. I later learned that Ford realised only people shorter than 5 8 could fit, so they reduced the seat height and took out all seat padding 😩

Watch from 2:29 during the test drive. "Let's see what it performs like" (big smile as he accelerates) "It's ABSOLUTELY COME TO LIFE". Folks, we're talking about an 40 year-old 1300cc engine that put out a whopping, (drumroll please)..... 66 hp when brand new.

Bah, it’s al so directed, so staged. All episodes are exactly the same, except the cars. Mike the narcissist. All what’s done to a car has to be told 3 times and also repeated. It’s over for WD.
