With all the craziness in the world right now, It was awfully nice to watch this video before my day begins. Thank you to all of you for giving me a nice start to the day.
WOW !! I REALLY enjoyed this video clip. It was SO "natural" - if I can put it this way !! The girls were freezing from the cold wind - but that didn't deter them from forging ahead and getting the logs brought back to the farm. Sure was muddy where the skip loader was working - but what else can you do ? Jim, you are a lucky man to have such versatile and fully trained ladies in your life !! They just get the job DONE !! BRAVO ladies - my hat's off to you !!
I really enjoy watching your videos. I am neither a farmer or a horseman. I find it so interesting how you interact with these fine animals. You people are the salt of the earth.
My alltime favorite channel !! Jim and Brenda and girls are my favorite !! Talk about a happy family !! They're all TEAM players. You do know the acronym TEAM stands for Together, Everyone Accomplishes More !! Lord Bless you and your family, Jim and Brenda !!
Thank you very much for showing a family working together for the next winter. The coordination between horse and human is always a blessing to see. You really touched my heart today. Jim you are a great horseman Father and Husband.
It's always great to see Abbey and Trudy back home helping. And it's always seeing a family working together. Here in Oregon its a lost way of working not to many logging with horses
Jim you need to teach your horses to split your firewood for you. Now that would be some great team work.😊 Oh, did I mention that you have a great looking family. I know you are extremely proud of them.
Its just wonderful to see family and those magnificent horses. I grew up on a farm in Illinois just following the use of horses. I have alot of photographs of the teams and my grandfather and father but I can't express how much I love seeing it continue. Wish I was there!
Looks like your daughters enjoy coming out to drive the horses every once in awhile. They both handle them well. I'm sure they've had lots of practice. 😆
Really nice seeing the girls working with you. My girls worked with me when needed, a big help. Was always gonna have " And Daughters " on the side of my truck but life had different plans. Enjoyed your video.
Beautiful family, beautiful teams and great videos. My step father in New Brunswick is 78 and had horses his whole life until about 10 years ago. My mom shows him the videos and he really enjoys them. Thank you.
Love the horses. Reminds me of my grandfather and his team of percherans. I was 7yrs old at the time but he would let me drive em while I was on his lap. Jim, I love skid steers for certain jobs but, loading and unloading logs in the field isn't one of them. I wish you were a close neighbor of mine and I would love to help you out with my Kubota tractor and log grapple! It doesn't leave a hog wallow in the field when I'm done! I know, you go with what you got.
Jim sure knows how to handle that "Bobcat" loader - even over rough terrain !! Those girls of yours are certainly VERY helpful on the farm. Hopefully, Brenda has shown them how to be good cooks, as well !! They'll make some men GREAT wives !! PTL !!
Beauty, strength, skill, work ethic, conservation, love, faith, friendliness, humility, integrity...... This channel has it all!! The world would be a better place with more people like this.......
Ah yes, firewood season is upon us. I know how this is. It is great to have so much wonderful help. Alot of work there. I did even on video notice the speed difference of the two teams. Great vid, thanks for sharing!
Your girls are so great! The horses were full of energy - but the girls kept them under control. Beautiful Fall day on the farm - Blue sky and white clouds - beautiful!
Yes I would imagine it would be quite hard to get help driving the horses. Great to have your daughters help out with their expertise with the horses. Mum gets to film it all. Later on as you all get older you will see the video and there you all are. With the nice comments to each other. Another great video posted.
Yes, Jim was very pleased with all that was accomplished that day. And you’re right, it will bring a lot of enjoyment to look back on that day. Thanks for watching!
I just found this site and I love this. I grew up on a farm in the 60s and I truly miss those times. We had horses but not work horses, they sure are beautiful and I have always loved the sound of horses hoofs on pavement,it takes me back to a happier more simplier time in life,
I have watched many woodsmen/farmers through the years in you tube & others along the way. This Christmas Eve of 2020 I came across your videos Jim. I would say you are by far caught my interests with your wood shop & log harvesting. The combination of animal & machine as well as the peaceful pictures of the forests really made my morning. You are a golden years type working man, very scarce in todays world, Merry Christmas to you & your family. Looking forward to more of your work and the gift God gave you.
It's very beautiful. I'm very happy when I see this video beacause the kind and gentle and nice treatment with the horses in driving specially she didn't holding and using the whip at her driving the horses. I can't stand when I see the driver hit the horses by the whip because it is hurt the horses. Thanks again for this way to driving the horses that without using the violence and the whip. God bless you.l feel that this horses are happies and comfortables to this good and gentle driving by this family. This family felt me that horses are a part of her.
Beautiful way to spend a day with your family Brenda and Jim, wish I was there for a drive of your horses, cheers folks hope you all stay safe and healthy XXXXXXX
What a Beautiful way to spend a Beautiful day with Family!
Why she has to thank her daughter for coming out and helping? Are they not part of the family? When I ask my daughter, I order her. That's her duty.
