Dude!! I feel the exact same way about the m1 and m2 buttons being different! I sweat a lot and would actually prefer if the buttons were coated like the rest of the mouse. I didnt have any issues on mine but its great to hear that you found a fix and are sharing it with us! Great review!
Thanks for including that fix for the sensor freeze issue. Got my Outset today and had it freeze after a couple hours worth of deathmatch sessions using an Odin Infinity pad with my room @ 70f/54% humidity. Same thing happened with my EC2, and it only got worse (dpi changing, spinouts, etc.) with time. Hoping the Outset doesn't succumb to the same thing, as I'm enjoying it immensely.
sadly all of my vaxee mice (i own 4 of them, 2 original NP01, Outset, and the NP01s) and all 4 of them had to have the unofficial fix done to them after having the sensor lock up on all 4. it may be safe to just do the unofficial fix now to prevent it from happening at all. anyway, much love and glad youre enjoying the Outset!
Time stamps are in the description to skip ahead :) also Vaxee told me the static issue actually isn’t all that uncommon and that the unofficial fix will pretty much always work, so that’s good to hear :) I also wanted to add that the gap under mouse 1 & 2 w/ the added post travel was intentional by Vaxee, just forgot to say that in the video.
I feel like people get very confused with what tilt grip is. its basically whatever grip you normally use but with an angle at your wrist. Making your hands right side lower and left side higher. that's why it has a higher left side and lower right side
I know, was just sharing what made the mouse feel more comfortable for me incase it helped other people. This is helpful info tho for sure incase others get confused :)

Awesome review as always. I’m really enjoying the mouse! I’m really surprised at how good it is. Also really love how in depth you go into the reviews. You can tell you put a lot of time into it and it is definitely paying off. You put out a great video every time!
I love this shape, but I really want to see them make Small and Large variants as this feels like a Medium sized mouse to me. The only things I'd like to see changed are full matte (matte on the clicks and body), and a better cable. Other than that the mouse is perfect, if the only other thing is wishing it came in a different size that's a good sign.
@@JR88 In the end it's personal preference, but for lets say CSGO you get a great feeling if you want to tap shoot or burst with some post travel. Tapping without post travel with lets say a Logitech g pro wireless feels off to me. Could be that I've played 20 years with that kind of buttons. And lastly there's a difference with a shitty click with post travel and good clicks with intended post travel.

I was contemplating on this one or the G Skoll Wolves Mini and I got this mouse this morning and ive been gaming on it all day and the hump makes it very difficult to fingertip and I know most people will say get the hati or gpro wireless but ive always fingertipped my ec2a and g skoll wolves mouse. I'm going to try this mouse for a few more days and see if I change my mind but I feel like the shape forces me to claw (I cant keep my hands from curling so I don't palm). What rank are you in Valorant? :D I'm currently borderline plat. Been using 800dpi .367 sens with this mouse. The one thing I hated from the mouse was the scroll button. It made it difficult to ping the map in Valorant. Good review!

Thank you! Yes I do still have it. The scroll wheel is a 24 step and the Zowie is a 16 step. But the outset’s is just as loud imo, and a little easier to turn than the Zowies. I like it better than the Zowie scroll wheel.

I’ve been using the pwnage wireless ergo for the past 8 months and it’s great but I feel like I could still find better. I’ve been eyeing this mouse and when you mentioned artisan zero soft problems I shat myself because it’s my favorite and probably endgame mousepad. Was curious to ask if the problem and or fix is still fixed as well as if the fix you mentioned acted like a “mouse reset” or did it change the lift off distance. Thanks
Great review as always. I like the scroll wheel. Since I use the scroll wheel to jump in csgo. The very tactile scrolls keep it from accidentally scrolling causing me to jump like the Zowie Ec2 series did.
I have this one currently on the way in the glossy version. Excited to check it out. If i like it a lot I might snag the np01 from them too just to try it out.

@@tsumday the thing that made me fall in love with the NP01 was the curve on the right side of the mouse. I relax claw my mice usually and fully extend my ring and pinky fingers when gripping, so that curve hugs those 2 fingers beautifully and I track incredibly well because of it on that mouse. I also prefer the clicks on it over the outsets clicks. It’s actually my main mouse along with the Superlight right now.

@@tsumday both the outset ax and the np-01 fit my 15x9cm hands without any issues. But I’d say it depends on how you grip it. In terms of reaching all buttons and the scroll wheel on both mice tho, I had no issues. Maybe the NP-01 is a little better for smaller hands just cuz the hump on it isn’t nearly as tall as the Outset’s. Both are great options tho, and I’m confident in recommending either mouse for people with small hands after using both myself :)
Well done @TheMouseLady I would have to agree with the scroll wheel. I don't know why it is so hard for these guys to get that damn Zowie sound out of the scroll wheel? Other Companies do it just fine. It's kind of like Vaxee decided, Hey we gave you the split from mouse body on the mouse one and two but we gotta keep something on this mouse that screams Zowie still. Let's keep the same scroll wheel for a trademark of Zowie design. Also them not listing to the community on mouse chords is just a huge oversight on their part. Lighter chords being used all over RUclips should be a big "Hey lets make a nice light parachord for this mouse" but no they still went with a heavy ass stiff chord. And I am sure they do it on purpose so if you do change the chord it voids the warranty of course. And me I have a whole tool kit for taking the mouse apart to replace the Chord. Side note, If they would just start putting Type-C connectors on these new mice it would stop players from taking the mouse apart in the first place. Simple as ordering a new chord of your color and weight and plugging it in. I am sorry to hear it is not shipping with extra mouse skates. But it's not a deal breaker for me I suppose because I am going to CorePad it out anyways. Yea as for me I will stick with my NP-01 it's perfect. I have played with tilt mice and to be honest just don't like them. But that is my opinion of course. Not everyone is going to be like me. Hello, thank you for sharing your thoughts. Our mice are designed for professional esports and to that extent, we would like to further explain our design concept. For our mouse wheel, we focus on durability and accuracy. We are sorry that our mouse wheels are not quieter but that is not our focus. We have made the mousewheel on the AX smoother than the NP-01 while still maintaining durability and accuracy. It is also quieter. With the cable, we designed the cable with durability (by our standards) in mind. In addition, we wanted to make sure to exceed certain electromagnetic interference certifications. Lastly, a very soft cable, even when used with a bungee simply flops around and drags on the pad. Together with the angled cable attachment point (which you can further tilt upwards) and by creating a suspended curve with the cable + bungee, we feel that this will help prevent the cable from interfering with the free movement of your mouse.
Pretty sure they put a bit of pre travel on purpose I heard boardzy say that I forget their reason I don’t remember where he said it either though, really informative video too by the way, you influenced me to pull out my np-01 the other day pog
Do you think this mouse shape would work for someone who has much bigger hands? I'm at around 20.5x11.5 and I like to claw grip - I enjoyed the EC2 but my main issue with it was how narrow it felt.
The scroll wheel click is so stiff! If you play Apex Legends, you may not want to use it for pinging. This is my biggest gripe with this mouse. On another note the stock feet is really fast! Do you know if it needs breaking in? I felt like i was skating on ice on my hien.

Hmmm I have never had an issue with my NP01 on many different pads, over 18 now including two artisans, some other hybrids and regular cloth pads. Odd.
I wish i have medium-big hands i always wanted to try medium to large mouse (G Pro Wireless , Np-01 Outset AX and many more medium-big mouse) but i can't cause i have small hands 17x9 cm i'm limited to small mouse G102, Viper Mini etc. 😭
I’ll review that after the Pulsar Gaming Xlite and Hati S Wireless. I also have a Gamesense Radar pad being sent out for review, so maybe after that. It’ll come soon don’t worry :)

As someone coming off of the ec2-a and looking for something to replace it, does this mouse feel like a complete upgrade basically?
Oh yes for sure. The back of the mouse is rounded as well and not completely flat like on the EC series so it fills out the palm a lot better imo.

Not sure what the fix did tbh but I haven’t had the issue happen whatsoever since the fix and I still use it very often :)

I wish i have medium-big hands i always wanted to try medium to large mouse (G Pro Wireless , Np-01 Outset AX and many more medium-big mouse) but i can't cause i have small hands 17x9 cm i'm limited to small mouse G102, Viper Mini etc. 😭

Idk, everyone has different preferences. It Of course doesn’t have the thumb rest and the ergo slope/hump is way more pronounced and tall.
