they are releasing a cable to play steamvr games with the quest all though I recommend just getting the rift s since the quest graphics can be really bad at times while playing steamvr and other games that were for pc vrs
Oculus link never worked for me due to my graphics card in my pc, but after about a year of searching on how to get SteamVr to work on my quest I finally found this video and it worked perfectly. I played my first SteamVR game in my oculus quest (it was ten minutes of The Forest VR) and I was almost in tears when this worked. Thank you so much, I will remember you for helping me achieve what I thought was impossible to me
Now I just need my RiftCat licence to be compatible with Windows MR and I will good to go. If the Quest wasn't a must buy before ... it is now. Now I need more money!!!!!

Can you help me do this for rift please I’ve been having nothing but problems, for some reason on my PC built for VR and works extremely well with VR can’t seem to run SteamVr, the frames drops below 1 FPS and I dont know why, everything is updated and I have a GTX 1060 so I dont know what went wrong, I uninstalled and re-installed everything from steamVR to oculus to Steam and nothing worked, please help
there is a new version of doing this which I think runs smoother,via using virtual desktop and side quest,the only problem with it is that it costs 20 bucks, which I think is worth it to run steam vr pretty smooth.
So I downloaded it onto the Quest 2 and I have the apps running on both Pc and Headset, but neither one of them can find each other. The Headset has a spinning cat while my pc continues to say "Seeking Connection". I tried restarting the app, on both systems and restarting both systems.
When I download the VRidge it downloads as VRidgeQuest2060....apk and I go through all the other steps but then nothing comes up for unknown sources. what am I doing wrong?
I think it would run into some performance issues so I don’t think it’s recommended because I have the Rift S and a decent VR ready gaming pc and I still run into some performance issues.
honestly, thats a totally fair point. BUT if you have ANY type of PC, there’s really no harm in trying this out, and I guess that’s what I was going for. if it works, thats great! if not, at least you know something like this exists - that way, in the future, if you upgrade to a better PC you know you may be able to use your old quest to play new games. and thanks for the comment, its the only way i can keep making my content better :)
So If I have to plug in a usb to play any game, can I unplug it once im on the game i want to play? Making it completely wireless while playing a game such as Blade and Sorcery. Please someone respond
its not working for me. i can follow to the part were the steam roomscale comes in place. i did the roomscale but then im stuck in the ground every thing is lagging and its like watching a big screen in a black room. can someone help i dont know what to do
So to enable developer mode you need to fill in all the info on the organisation pages. However, you need to upload a concept build etc. I don't have all that stuff. Is there an easy workaround?

You can download windows on your Mac, I only have a Mac too and that works, though windows runs slower bcs it is not as optimized as Mac. Your MacOS still stays on the pc, you just divide your storage.

Can you play oculus quest 2 VR without a pc at all. Is there already a built in screen so you can just put it on and purchase a game and play it? Because if it doesn’t have a built in screen the price is a joke
Quest 1 and 2 don't need a PC, you can buy an Oculus Link cable(79$) and hook your quest into a beefy pc to unlock more titles that haven't been ported over to the Quest(obviously that's if you have a beefy pc, and want to play a title that isn't yet on the Quest). But yeah you don't need a PC in order to use an oculus quest.

No, you can't play PSVR games on any PC VR Headset, or PC in general.
Why does everyone forget to mention the most important requirement? A freaking VR-READY PC. Most people are getting this because they DON'T have one.

Tip : turn of vpns and ethernet cables, the only thing that needs to be turned on is normal wifi or you wont be able to connect to rifcat.
