- Today we are going up Quito's Teleferico gondola (also known as the Teleferiqo / Teleferiqo Cruz Loma) to explore Volcan Pichincha!
The Teleferico is Quito's gondola that climbs 800 meters in a matter of minutes! At the top, you can find breathtaking views of Quito, as well as a hike to Volcan Rucu Pichincha! This is a must-do if you travel Quito, Ecuador.

Hi! We are Eric and Sarah, a couple of Canadians currently travelling around Ecuador. We’ve been married since 2017 but have known each other since we were only 6 years old! During our last year of university, we spent 4 months in Honduras on a semester abroad and fell in love with Latin America. Since then, we began planning and saving to do an extensive Latin America tour. 2020 delayed those plans by half a year but during this time stuck in BC, we explored a new hobby (like everyone in the pandemic) of videography and photography. You do a great job on your videos. My wife and I are coming to Cuenca and Cotacachi in October for a month. Then we are hoping to go back next year to retire! We are Canadian too! Living in New Brunswick now but moved from Ontario last year.

Now you have to visit Chimborazo, the closest point on Earth to the sun.

Wow! You were near my aunts house just down from the Teleferiqo! So cool. What's crazy is that all the times i've visited my aunts place i've never been to this thing. Gotta go next time for sure

Great video really enjoyed watching. I have trouble breathing around 1,000 meters 😂 I can definitely feel the fatigue while hiking. I can feel it when hiking up too

I did this hike to the summit on the new year eve of 2020 and it was sooo rainy it was difficult to do, so i felt asleep after that and missed the New year celebration

You guys should’ve left early in the morning and got as far as you could. Pack a lunch and a backpack with a jacket and umbrella in case weather sets in

I took my mountain bike up there and tried riding the trail down, it was super steep and sketchy with a 4 inch rut worn down the middle and pretty much impossible to ride. I got like a 1/2 mile down then turned around and pushed my bike back up, that was even harder considering how steep it was . Had to take the tram back down.
