I will say this about Shohei. When Mookie was hurt, and when Freddie had his family issues, Shohei was the one constant. It seemed like he waited to slump a little until those guys got back at times. There were times when guys were hitting clean-up for the Dodgers who weren't Big League players. They survived the injuries because of him. In the World Series, judging from his postgame interview, he was really hurt, but the organization thought he was worth the lineup spot just to make the Yankees pitchers work. I missed watching two Dodgers games all season. That is it. This team might not have made the postseason without him.

One concern I have about the next year for the Dodgers, there is something about having to make the best of the limits placed upon you that brings out the best in an organization. I've seen this with movies that were filmed when special effects were expensive, and I think the same thing happened with the Dodgers this year: Because a ton of players, especially pitchers, were out with injuries, Doc was forced to come up with strategies that maximized the effectiveness of the roster. I really hope that Doc doesn't try to go back to the 6 to 7 inning start just because he now has a bunch of starters in the rotation, rather I hope he thinks outside the box so he finds that ideal balance between competitive pitching and preventing injury. Maybe what AJ Hinch is doing over at Detroit should be a consideration, have the pitchers give their best 3 innings, then tag out, keep the other team's offense guessing. When Detroit traded Jack Flaherty to the Dodgers, their pitching staff was a ragtag group of relievers and maybe a couple of starters, but nothing a baseball analyst would consider competitive. But with this strategy, the Tigers ended up playing the Guardians in the division series.

Yankees have lost accountability for players as a whole for years. Dodgers stars lead by example, one can't fk around when leaders work for basic little things. Dodgers said after last year 2023 to Muncy that he does't play 3rd if defense does't get better and then helped him. From -8 OAA to 0. Yanks are always just defending players and not demanding anything. Yanks locker room is like NBA teams, players run the st. Boone was always a silly hire and did't earn it in anyway manager should. Ofcourse Cashman wanted just yes man so he can decide every little decision. Cashman close to 10years now going half the team playing out of position. Looking at prospect runway and how many turn to stars in pinstripes, I feel Cashman is bribing lot of people to get those top evalutions for Yanks prospects. FO's count them as currency so easy way to cheat in "results". Yanks also never play or trade prospects at the right time =).

He had a huge hit off the wall that helped tie the game in game 1 so his team could win, that was monstrous and over shadowed, he had a heavy presence in the line up as well which alot of people won't understand, dude put alot of heart to play with his shoulder, he kept dropping that back shoulder after when he was swinging and you could tell it really caused him to not get that big hit. But he was a big team player can't take that away from him, he found ways on base and if you wanna compare look at judge and his play, yikes no one cares about a single homerun when you can't hit the rest of the time or get on base, only strike out and not catch routine fly balls
