The group arranges this stuff themselves. If they felt there was an issue they would fix it. It's not like exo where they have people do it for them and some members her completely forgotten a seventeen does everything themselves.
The reason why they don't get many lines is because 1 this is a vocal based song therefore vocal team + Hoshi will have a lot of lines. 2 performance team works on choreography and stage presence so they don't need a lot of lines. And 3 the hip hop team write their own raps and Woozi fits them in with his co-producer. This is exactly why each team have their OWN songs, on their albums and EP's. They shine in their own songs. For example, Fronting by the hip hop team ft. Hoshi and Woozi. The song was literally full rap parts from each member of the hip hop team + a 10 second part from Woozi for the breakdown at the end of the song and all Hoshi sings/raps is the chorus. With Jun & The8 being in the center more in dance parts. The8 was up front in most of the dance choreos in Adore U & Mansae. Most of them seem to have a lack of screen time and lines in Pretty U. Dino got more in Very Nice & Boom Boom since he was showcased as Very Nice has a very MJ-ish vibe. Most of their line distribution started getting more fair after Very Nice era. Jun & The8 still has the least lines but the difference between lines from them and the others are starting to diminish with only about 2-3 second difference(Not counting the main vocals). I swear people are not appreciating Dino enough. He has had some of the lesser lines distribution earlier on in their first 3 eras. But when he gets more linesas a rapper(Very Nice), he isnt recognised because he isnt in Hip Hop Unit. When he gets more lines in performance unit songs, half the time the comments is flooded with "Jun and The8 still has the least lines". If I'm being honest, I've been watching a few line distribution vids in a row so it makes me kind of put off that DK always is in the top 3 when it comes to lines. I get he's a main vocal and all, but at least if not in the title songs give other members some more chances to shine.

Well from my perspective, I think there is lack of lines for certain members is because of the amount of people in the group. It's hard enough to arrange a 3-minute song for that many people.

Back when Woozi got a lot of lines xD I think that they should all get fairly even lines according to their sub units. Like I wish that they all got heaps of lines but a song can't be 13 minutes long so I think that vocal unit should get the most lines (but even within the unit), hip hop unit should get equal rapping lines and the performance unit should also get a good amount of lines and more dancing at the front (less than vocal unit but still fairly distributed between them)
I think, to distribute lines need so much discussion, so i think this is the best dessicion for their distribution line. this is also for song quality, of course. so, don't think some of them got underrated, maybe in other song they will get mooooore line which is matched for them. ^^
So happy Woozi gets so many lines, but also so sad because they are all so talented and so many are getting such small parts. Hopefully the others get to shine in some of the other songs (I haven't checked other distributions yet).
Okay, I get that people get upset when one member gets 30 seconds of lines and another gets 3. However, you have to consider not only how the recording sounds, but also live performances. Especially at the beginning, a lot of members may not have the technique/vocal stamina to be able to sing so many lines live, so that responsibility falls on the members who can sing live. They want to give the best performance to the fans, even if that means unfair line distribution. I'm sure the members with fewer lines recognize that and are working hard to improve. Also, singing a lot and dancing very intensely at the same time can be very difficult, so that may be another reason performance team doesn't have a lot of lines. Would love to see more performance team dance breaks though!
