Basket weave cutting board

  • I just finished making these new boards. I've seen them made in this style online so thought I would give it a go. Let me know what you think!

    Looks great! Would you mind sharing the dimensions of the various cuts you make?

      Each cube is one 27mm wide piece of jarrah and two 9mm strips of rosewood. Height is trimmed to 45mm to match. 600mm long when in long grain. I believe the end grain cuts were at 46mm thick which gave me 12 pieces to turn.

    Walnut is used; What is the other type of wood?

      The brown wood is new Guinea Rosewood and the red wood is western Australia jarrah. No wallnut in this one. It's bloody expensive over here so I use it sparingly!

    A little bit of explanation or giving dimensions would take this to anew level otherwise it is just meaningless motions
