gattaca7g Yeah, a lot of the work seems to be generally cleaning up, editing of the vocal samples and slight alterations of the some of the arrangements. I love both versions, but I do feel this one accentuates a lot of the energy of the album. One of my only criticisms about this version, though, is how long the drums take to come in on Wuub, which is such an iconic piece. Regardless, I love it all. Woob for life.
I just got the original Woob 1194! I ripped the CD to my hard drive and I'm playing it in bit perfect stereo throughout my whole house. Wow, oh wow, what a masterpiece. I have a couple of questions. What makes this Lost 1194 qualitatively better than the original? Is Lost worth buying? Also, I love lounge/ambient music. 1194 is so unique and voluptuous and the soundscape is so wide and deep. Does anyone know of a lounge/ambient album that's as good as this? I know, a difficult question for sure.
Definitely try Silence by Pete Namlook & Dr. Atmo - www.discogs.com/Silence-Silence/master/43078 :-) Along with 1194 my favorite ambient album of all time.
David, you have stumbled upon perhaps the 'white album' of ambient downtempo, so hard to beat this one. But, yes, Pete Namlook's material is up there. Also, check out the other material in the hard to find Em:t series this is from. I started collecting around 25 years ago and never looked back. 😁
I never go a month without listening to this album since it first came out. Hands down best ambient LP ever.🤘😁
I have the original album and it is an absolute classic. Thanks for changing my world, Woob!
Same here Christine 🤘😁🎶
I can hear a real difference only after 28 minutes, but I still love my original album!

Thank you for this Ben.
Ben Kenobi, you don't know me, but musically, we are glad to know one another, this, that, the sound, I am, we are, you are, ~Appreciated
Thanks.
I'll be honest. Amoeba was my favorite track. Woob did it dirty here.
right!?? 🤘😎

This is how I do ketamine therapy
I love the clarity of the voice samples.
But this mix has some sharp breaks and it misses the vibe the original produced.
Ben! Is this real? I had no idea there was unreleased material! ❤️
Much better than the original!

Substrata by Biosphere is imo the best of all time. 1194 is my 2nd fave :)
