  • This short video is of the first pine log sawed on the Woodland Mills HM126 sawmill. I was really concerned of the blade collecting a lot of pitch / sap and really flooded the new blade with plenty lubricant. I use (1) gallon of Rain X windshield washer fluid with (2) table spoons of Dawn dish soap added. This really worked out well. This is a pine log I was sawing up for a friend and wasn't sure what I would yield out of the log as it had a large bow. The result was pretty good as you'll see in the video. The length of the log is 14' long with the large end measuring 15" in diameter and the small end 10" in diameter. The pine tree blew down in a storm and had sentimental value to my friend as the tree was planted a couple of generations ago. He plans to make some small projects out of the pine for his family. Hope you enjoy the video and thank you for watching.
