They brought back balancing so sum players are slower than other players like in the previous games
I'm pretty sure there is different values of damage for all moves in the game. Just from base damage. The game has the Potara system again that Tenkaichi 3 has. Not sure if it's the same name but the DLC details already confirm customization and item upgrades have returned. As well certain costumes having different moves tied to only that costume.

Kinda stupid how they consider every version on one character as a stand alone character itself. Oh yeah we got 160 characters and 2/3 of them are just a transformation of another character. It's Stupid!
Agree to disagree. It would only be an issue if each form didn't have a unique moveset or combos. Which they each do

Could have just started with the base form as the selection and then put any variation under selected character. That way you could have also customized each version with different moves and opened up customization a lot more instead of counting them as individual characters.
