One correction: The 499P doesn't mark the return of Ferrari to the endurance prototype category but more specifically it marks the return of Ferrari as an official works team to the 24h of Le Mans in the prototype category. The 333 SP was the last Ferrari to race in the endurance prototype category but was never entered officially into Le Mans 24h by Ferrari (it was run by privateer teams) so therefore Ferrari counts the 1973 Le Mans 24h as the last time when Ferrari officially raced as a works team in prototype category.
Well done Ferrari! They've already beaten Porsche in their return to top level sports car racing before they've even turned a wheel. The 296 looks great too, looking forward to seeing both in action soon.
Hello dear friends of the channel ... hi Matteo😁 well...both Ferrari looks like a very fast " pedal cars "...( i was trying to joke 😋 )...OK --F 296 remind me a BATMANcar ( as a most of the GT3 prototypes indeed )...another lucky capture again 👍😊
Hello, and welcome back on the channel 🖐; I must say that the new 296 GT3 surprised me even more than the 499P LMH; I didn't expect all those aerodynamic appendages and those fins. It looks like a very advanced project for a GT3 car. The new 499P has a lovely livery and shape; it is similar to the other category prototypes, but I like the rear, and it seems that a lot of aerodynamic work has been done. A beautiful 2023 season awaits us 😉👍
Honestly i dont know who to cheer for WEC LMH or LMDH there is literally a ton of really cool brands that is like resembling the back in the old days of Endurance racing
You are right; it was since the days of GT1 that there were not so many brands participating in Endurance races. I love motorsport in general and being a fan is not something I particularly like. I just hope to see some great races in 2023 👍
Thanks, I tried to do my best. The new 499P was sadly a bit far away, while the 296 GT3 was allowed to get closer and take better details. Unfortunately, they both took to the track for only two demonstration laps. These will be two cars that I will try to film well in the 2023 season, the one that will finally see them as protagonists 👍
Sicuramente performanti, tecnologiche….
LMP1H regulations are so similar its a game of hiring best drivers. Ferrari wants to win, they have to poach Toyota Factory drivers with LM winning experience.
Ferrari has entered the prototype racing category under the LMH rules which gives a lot more freedom to build a different car from the teams that are entering under the LMDH rules. So there is definitely room for Ferrari to build a much faster car from the rest.
Most probably Porsche will win Le`Mans 2023, but my heart will be with Ferrari. 499P looks fabulous and I keep fingers crossed for them, also for 296 GT3 teams especially at N24. Its great to see Ferrari back in endurance top class, Im going to celebrate;) Thank you for great video.Saluti!!
I also think Porsche is the number 1 contender for 2023, although I must say that Ferrari is carrying out a busy test schedule to develop the new 499P. I'm convinced that it will not be an easy season for Porsche. We will see 😉
@@rookie8960 The regulations in the LMH class give manufacturers more possibilities. I think Ferrari chose this category precisely to design the racing car they had in mind with the fewest possible limitations. Furthermore, and this is good for us enthusiasts, Ferrari will have to produce 30 road cars of the car it uses to race (as was the case in the GT1 class) being in the LMH class. For those who want to cut costs, the LMHd category is perfect because, for example, the chassis is standard and built by Dallara.
@@rookie8960 I don't want to say the wrong things, but from what I understand, they will race for the title; there are no different categories. The balance of Performance will balance the LMH and LMHd cars to make Performance as similar as possible.
i think if i buy those 10 pound electric motors, i think a 270 hp goal per motor is more fesable and less power draw and allow for lower affordable trims vs going for 5-1000 hp in such a motor.
@@Italiansupercarvideo I was hoping that the 499P will be equipped with hybrid V12 engine because her main competitors has 5.5L V8 hybrid (Cadillac LMDH), 4.0L V8 twin turbo hybrid (BMW M Hybrid V8), & 4.6L V8 twin turbo (Porsche 963). These definitely aren't small engines & have great sounds. I do agree that the 333SP has gorgeous V12 sounds, so was the 330 P4, 312P & 512S.
@@faketaxidriver5651 I think that Ferrari chose to adopt a V6 engine to have a small, light and well-positioned power unit inside the car. Furthermore, Ferrari has a great deal of experience in V6 turbo engines due to the many years in which the current F1 cars adopted it. Therefore, I think that a little F1 technology, some particular and refined technical solution, has been transferred from F1 to this 499p.
