It's usually because it's the same conductor. Brad Holmes conducted the IMEA choir and TNMEA.
I noticed when I was practicing for TN's 2012 auditions that IMEA did most if not all of these songs in 2011, so they might just be passed state to state. I guess it just depends on what state you're in.

Where they from Arlington Martin High School? I thought I saw one kid during the men's rehearsal leave to go perform for the Honor Choir.
