@@Wayneh58 Blight and Jarman are two of the best 7 I've seen (Gazza, Winmar, Daicos, Mattwews, McLeod...) I've followed it closely since 74 and embarrassed to say that l only found out a month ago about the Mattwews incident. Can't find a vid or news story about it and was hoping you might have some recollections. Even back as far as then l can clearly remember the wraps on Robran and I'm sure that all Vics would've loved to have seen him play here. There might've been rumours of clubs he had contact with but l can't quite remember ( possibly Richmond?) All of the guys l mentioned above were very different but a cut-above, Imo, and would be interested in any comparisons.
Blokes like Malcolm here, Lee, Barrassi, Whitten, King Kerls and all those others from the great eras of footy are who made footy big. It could be argued it also made Aussie society what it was, a tough and resilient people. Australia was a very different place back then, everything was great

Yeh he would've learnt how to dish out sprays from Barass who used to do it to him. Great stuff.
