I just found your channel and I'm loving every one of them that I have watched so far. I believe that the Covid has awakened a new spirit into a lot of us especially women. We are going back to our roots and rediscovering our feminity. Enjoying vintage living and the peace that it brings.
I love that we are all part of this organically forming group of women who are embracing the simple feminine beauty of skirts. It's as if we are seeking our ancestors' voices hidden beneath the trappings of modernity. Yet, I still haven't found a practical skirt for mucking out the cow barn that will keep me warm Upstate! Any ladies have suggestions?

I've done historical reenacting in the past, and I'm an ardent fan of Laura Ingalls Wilder/Little House on the Prairie and the whole pioneer era. (I named my youngest daughter, Laura Elizabeth, named for Laura Ingalls Wilder!). I sew my own "prairie" dresses and love wearing them, along with the old-fashioned underpinnings. So feminine, and it makes me feel so "pioneer-y"!
@@vickistevens423 I first realized the amazing transformative power of femininity when I did Civil War reenacting while researching my novels. I thought at first that I wanted to be one of the rare women soldiers until I put on my first hoops. LOL. Also the guns were way too heavy ! I ended up doing a nurse/writer impression with my children trailing behind. I named my daughter after Theodore Roosevelt. I wanted to name my son either Almanzo or Huck Finn but my husband said no. :) Laura's books inspired me to become a writer.
@@adriennemorris536 awesome! I did Civil War reenacting for a number of years, and one of my impressions was a Civil War nurse. I sewed my own 1860's dresses and loved wearing them.

Cabbage and potatoes is one of my favorite dishes. I learned to love this as a child. I used to watch my mother make this at home. And from time to time, I still make it for myself. It's delicious

Slalom ! This day has been warm here in Florida. We seen 2 robins the last 2 days . February robin my dad called them . For us summer days are 95 100 so our winter is 30-50 to see a 80 day like today is a blessing .
