Observ 1 : 2:15:31 / 3:43:47 Observ 2 : 2:34:13 / 3:43:47 --------------------------- Curiousity popped in my mind during lec : why determinant is only for square matrix ??? The reason determinants are defined only for square matrices is primarily related to the geometric interpretation of determinants and their role in linear transformations and systems of linear equations. One reason is that the determinant can be thought of as a measure of the scaling factor of a linear transformation. A linear transformation is a mapping from one vector space to another, and a square matrix represents a linear transformation from a vector space to itself. For example, in 2D space, the determinant of a 2x2 matrix represents the scaling factor by which the area of a shape is stretched or compressed when it is transformed by that matrix. In 3D space, the determinant of a 3x3 matrix represents the scaling factor for volume changes. If we have a non-square matrix, it represents a linear transformation from one vector space to another vector space with a different number of dimensions. For example, a 2x3 matrix…….What would the determinant of this matrix represent? We could think of it as the ratio of the volume of the image of a unit cube under the linear transformation represented by A to the volume of the original cube. But this ratio is meaningless, because the image of a unit cube under a 2x3 matrix is not a cube! It is a parallelogram in four dimensions. . In this case, it doesn't make sense to talk about a scaling factor, because we are comparing the volumes of objects in different dimensions. Determinants are used to determine whether a system of linear equations has a unique solution, no solution, or infinitely many solutions. determinants are used to check if a square matrix is invertible (i.e., it has an inverse matrix). If determinants were defined for non-square matrices, the geometric and algebraic interpretations of determinants would not align with the fundamental properties they possess in the context of linear algebra. Therefore, it is not possible to define the determinant of a non-square matrix in a way that is consistent with the geometric and algebraic properties of the determinant for square matrices. One last important note is that the determinant only makes sense for square matrices. That's because square matrices move vectors from -dimensional space to -dimensional space, so we can talk about volume changing. bhaiya you are doing injustice to those who are well prepared..hum jaise bacche ne saal bhar makkari nhi kari...abhi hamein aapse typewise pyq sessions ki sabse jyada need hai so we can revise and target even 100/100 but aap fir bhi only high weighted karwa rahe..hamara kya?? you aren't focusing on us aapka jo chal raha woh chalate raho but please upload typewise pyq for all mains chapter as soon as possible.. i will for sure bring a great rank for you
if you are done with advanced level full course , then dont fall in the trap of pyqs, do good books and focus on advanced after mains-1 itself. pyqs are most relevant and good source but for the end time jinka nhi hua kuch not for you.
@@UnacademyAtoms actually mene aapke typewise dekhe and mast revision hua tha... and also learnt somethings... confidence aata ki haan yrr mein exam mein bhi kar paunga...alag se kar raha hu revision sheets but your content is diff that is why..
Agar tune saal bhar padha hai toh yaha kya kar Raha hai jaake question practice kar or mock test de

Amazing session. Deep theory, got reason behind stuff I had just remembered during 11th.
Attended it live and trying my best to enter your telegram group of ideal student (following your cc since day 1,i am just lacking pyq practice cuz of regular school and other tasks.

bhaiya i am a person who is also following this cc but I am not at literal zero level. I have some proficiency in chapters (as I was in coaching from XI), any tip for me on how I can further enhance my level with your cc's help?
Tell me too if you get answer
Attend only question session.
