- October 7 first responder Eran Masas describes how he jumped in a car and drove towards the Hamas massacre at the Nova music festival the second he knew what was happening.
“I know that if I’m not going to be there, I don’t know who else is going to be there,” Mr Masas told Sky News host Erin Molan.
“Because this is my home, and I need to protect my home.
“At the first time, I’m not thinking at all; I’m just thinking like a … parent that wants to protect his children.
“I tell myself that I can’t be emotional at that moment; I must do actions like a robot and leave my feelings beside and just save who I can save from that situation.”
As a Hindu Australian…. I will never forget October 7… those celebrations and show off of massacre of jews still haunts me.

I remember when this happened in Australia , I lived in western Sydney and there were fireworks etc going didn’t think anything of it until I saw the news and felt absolutely disgusted

I’m sure if this had happened to a Taylor swift concert in America things would be seen differently by some - and this should not be.
I live in South Africa heard celebrations and shouts of joy from a certain community of very peaceful people. No one knew why until we heard of the Hamas atrocities the day after. The peaculs were marching and chanting even before the media released the stories. The peaceful people around the world were notified and congratulated each other.

Strange that so many haven't seen (or have so quickly forgotten) how Palestinians have great celebrations when other nationals are killed en mass attacks. Cant' say the same for the Israelis.
