I feel like this era of 242 gets a bad rap or dismissed because it was a departure from their typical sound. It's a damn shame because I feel like they came into form and matured with Up Evil, Evil Off and Pulse. All of it is textural and intriguing and nothing like any other group I've heard before. Thank you for uploading.
Daniel and Patrick seem to have been about texture all along, but those mentioned albums took their vision to the furthest levels. The sound design from Tyranny for You on to Pulse cannot be equalled by anyone I've ever heard or probably will hear.
Absolutely agree. Unmatched. 242, puppy, fla all had those few albums where the band's ultimate artistic vision was achieved. All the years of experience culminating into peak form.
This I found at a records shop in town, this and along with Evil Off. this one I enjoyed listening to.
Give me SERIOUS flashbacks to high school. This in my discman every day in 1993 for the whole year.
