I love the 268, it's a great vehicle that feels perfectly balanced. It's just a low WR tank because it is such a jack-of-all trades vehicle. It's actually my highest WN8 tier 10 at 2517 rating and 2980 dpg 8)
i feel like the 268 being so low in results is also largely due to the eh armor, average gun stats besides pretty great HEAT, and less than 1k shell velocity on its AP
Literally just today got pissed off after 3 matches and stopped playing it for a bit due to gunna handling and bullshit misses and bounces. The 268v5 is just straight up better.
Forgot to mention the horrid rotation of the gun itself. I believe it's like 18° each direction but it's been a while since I looked at that stat. It was my 1st teir 10 so I do enjoy the tank but I can understand why it has bad statistics overall.
Agreed. The clutch shots he made were mostly unnessecary. Either he had time to aim or he never should have exposed himself to take them in the first place. So many shots he hit would have missed like 70 % of the time
Everyone made mistakes. SU Camped. The obj fluffed two shots on the BZ, and the two TDs both missed their shells on the medium in close quarters combat. All led to the outcome of the battle.
Typical play from the SU...drive to a spot and won't leave it for ANY reason. He could have moved to a supporting position and screened the 268 from that Amx.
5:25 the Obj 268 isn't the best in any stat, no... but it's also not bad in any stat. It's not the fastest, but its top 5... Doesn't have the best DPM, but it's top 6... Doesn't have the best pen, but it's top 5.. Doesn't have the best accuracy, but it's top 5... Doesn't have the best damage, but it's tied 4th at 750... Doesn't have best camo, but it's 2nd after Strv 103B... I can contunue like that with all the stats... Obj 268 is a bit boring and uninteresting to many because it's not the best at anything, but with it being top 5 (out of 18) in almost every stat makes it still a good and flexible tank that should definitely be feared on the battlefield.
Nope. I've 3 marked this TD(it's not actually that hard tbh, probably the easiest T10 tank), and feel the reason players don't play it more is the gun handling is TRASH, and it's really that simple. There can be absolutely no trust in that gun and don't let this ridiculous replay fool you. In this replay, the guy whips around corners and snaps the perfect shot almost every time without even aiming, even on the roof of a SuperC and snaps one into the side of a tank quickly passing underneath his position lol. This gun just does not do that 99 times out of 100 lol. Even his equipment layout. On a small close-quarters sort of map like this my second equipment option would immediately have been bounty aim-mod, improv vents and improv rammer. I wouldn't reduce this tanks already crap gun handling further by trading vents of optics like this player did on a map this small, but like I said, this is just a ridiculously misleading replay of this tanks gun handling, it just aint that good or anything close on it! I wanted to love this tank, that's the annoying part from my perspective and interesting I would say it's tier9 predecessor the Obj 704 is far better. Sure, the Obj 704 is not as mobile but I play it with an Experimental Mobility thingy and it's a very stealthy, reliable, hard hitting 750 alpha genuinely fun tier9 TD that can sneak about the map, doesn't need to expose much of the hull since the gun is mounted very high on a very sleek low profile tank so can exploit a lot of ridges and little foliage areas most tanks are simply too tall to do without being spotted, plus when you do get spotted after shooting, it's easy to pull back to safety since there wasn't much of your tank showing anyway, and with full gun dep exploiting offers not only a small target but a rather well angled bouncy hull. Overall since the Chinese TD's got a buff, the WZ 111G FT which was needlessly buffed, and it's tier10 Brother which kinda needed a little buff, are both arguably better options that can do about the same thing but with better gun handling, better gun arch angles and the tier9 has almost 400 HEAT pen which is insane for tier9 but hey who's complaining lol.
Fully agree. Power creep over the years did this tank dirty. Feels like in order to be good you have to specialize in something and this tank specializes in nothing.
i had one hell of a game in my ts 5 did 6k damage 3k spotting blocked a bunch of damage but we had two afks and a bot e100 so of course we didnt win since they caped us while i was on the other side of the map since i figured one of those tanks could move but no they just sat there, the issue with bots on na is worse then any other server seems like i run into at least on in every battle, never moving shooting there guns at rocks there tanks move weird just bad wg needs to detect and get rid of those accounts that do that

Ich think its a great TD, too. I play this tank from time to time for missions. But i can´t really say, that this tank have any good running armor. Well sure he was TopTier in the game, but i never would drive to the heavy line, when i dont have the support of the other heavys. And for sure i never would go in a front fight with a Conqueror, because a "good" player would easy kill me and use his conqueror armor correctly. He had played that really good and such games like 13k damage i never reached. So well done. Had he reached the mission he needed or not because it was not a win? That would be really tough....

Indeed, the armor is nothing to rely on and the accuracy is weird due to low shell velocity. Huge shell arc creates weird bounces.

Over the 700 games I’ve played in the 268 it has 68% wins, so it must be a pretty good tank. I think its because its a speedy mobile 750 damage gun.
Love the 268 and 113G, I feel a lot more accurate in these than the Grille and you also have armor.

Compared to the other 750 alpha tanks at tier 10 the 268 has the 2nd best mobility and best camo. With a descent margin aswell.
