You can also see it in matches, for example Thiem's opponents always target his backhand a lot more because that's where he is weaker and a lot more inconsistent . I also see this most of the time in Shapovalov's and Tsitsipas' matches where opponents will just rally cross-court to their backhands and wait for them to change direction and go down the line because that's a low percentage shot which is harder to do with the 1 hander...but it's so satisfying when you actually hit a clean winner with the 1HBH down the line :)

I feel like Sborowsky has very good power and an excellent forehand but Gusic is more consistent and knows how to play the ball though they are both great great players

Even on red ball Ben was beating all the local coaches comfortably. His movement and reading of the game is exceptional. And he is a great , grounded lad.

I have a National tournament tomorrow, this has really helped me get in the zone. I’m currently in between a move to another academy so my technique has changed so it would be really great if I could at least get past the first round.
Gusic is like 9-10 years old and plays very smart , outsmart and outlast another boy. Both of them are great players and will play against each other more in future.
The biggest swing of the game was the long game with Gusic-Wan serving 4-3 in the third set. 4 deuces to break. When SBOROWSKY lost that game, the momentum CLEARLY shifted to Gusic-Wan. It can seen that SBOROWSKY felt disappointed losing it. Reminded me of Sampras-Agassi's last rivalry match at the US Open back in 2002.

RUclips showed me this video. The boys were incredible, specially Gusic Wan. I immediately checked his current stand at the end of 2023, four years after this match. He’s 16 years old now and won a National championship. He’s currently ranked at ITF #52 while the other boy Sborowsky currently ranked #746. You could tell in this video that Wan had so much talent.
They are both great at tennis but with their age - tennis is based only on technique when you are 8-13. When you're 14 you have to be strong and you have to have really strong shot. Hope they won't give up
One Handed Backhand is a real art, it's cool to see a child at this age plays well like that, I can never appreciate the two hand backhand as I appreciate when the palayer use one hand backhand! Maybe because I love Roger Federer and his style, I like to see Wawrinka, Richard Gasquet and Almagro playing only because the all use one hand backhand

Do you recall why you stopped? I played when I was young and stopped because it was all coaching, rarely any time playing with friends because I was like 9 years old. Couldn't just hit up friends on Facebook and drive to court. Facebook didn't exist, smartphones weren't standard quite and even then I was too young to drive. Parents gotta help make it happen. I didn't think of it though. But I play now almost every day and I love it. I'm pretty good but these kids are definitely better. Much more consistent. I wonder if I could out power them. I never see tennis players this good this young. Quite a thing to watch.

I was one of the best juniors in my section growing up, and granted it wasn't in cali where all the good players are but still and I'm confident could have gve me a run for my money when I was 15

What a great tennis for those kids. While watching those boys play the game I know why today EU dominates this game and different from rest of the world. Some people said that they play moon-ball, pusher...but if you look carefully they are not defensive style players. They wait for a chance and then step into the court, close to the net and finish the point.
wow so good, i was suprised though that a lot of their shots did not reach past the service line and in the target zone. Besides that though they were both really good players, and i was suprised how well the kept their calm even with all those people watching them.
