  • On June 18,1995, at Brownsville Assembly of God, near Pensacola, FL, God's revival fire fell. This is an uncut video from a service on 8/29/1998. The quality is poor by our standards, converted from a VHS recording. But the content is priceless. These videos are a unique opportunity to participate in God's amazing work, then and now. Enjoy His presence.

This was not a revival. The fruit of this is clear in Brownsville today, where prostitution, drugs, and violence rule the streets.
You can get an emotional experience and walked to the front of the building, fact is many who walked down in that service area probably in hell now.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Telling you to walk to the front of the building suggests you can work to be saved. You can walk, cry, dance, sign a card, circle a picture, etc. and still go to hell.
My encouragement to you is to listen to Jonathan Edwards’ sermon “sinners in the hands of an angry God” instead of this garbage.

Thank you for leaving your comment. Movements of God always attract criticism. Jesus Christ drew attacks from the religious leaders of His day. Revivals, including the one by Edwards, are commonly charged with emotionalism.
But you bring up a valid question of revival. Should we judge whether an event is divine by the long-term effects on people? Are there examples in history or Scripture where God appeared to act or move and the people fell away later? If they fell away, does that mean the event was not of the Trinitarian God, but another spiritual power, a false god?
The Israelites, only months after leaving Israel and walking through the Red Sea, are dancing around and worshiping a golden calf, while Moses is up on Mount Sinai with God (Exod 32).
Peter, only a year or so after proclaiming Jesus is "the Christ, the Son of the living God," (Matt 16:16), denies he has ever known Jesus (Matt 26).
Now, do we say God did not part the Red Sea, or Jesus was not the Messiah, because followers backslid? No. We offer them reconciliation and pray with them for repentance and forgiveness.
Jesus told Peter, "Feed my sheep" (John 21:17)
There's nothing new in your criticism. This revival was viciously attacked, and yet, God prevails. God loves us all and has a plan for our lives. I pray you feel His love today.
