why are you letting the master go over 0 db? when you saturate the mix and master it fills up the sound spectrum giving is a bigger and louder/ more present sound. the buildup/crash instrument peaked at +4. none of the elements have any reverb or present fx to amplify the mix, so they all sound more dry than the sahara desert. the writing is pretty solid though, can't deny that.
Not all music has to follow a cut and dry, strict guidelines approach. Don't box yourself in. Some time you can get great, creative works of art by breaking the rules.
