I just found out being a veteran I'm entitled to some freebies from the town. My wife picked up a box last week and it had lots of good prep stuff. Dates on things were very good. Veterans get out there and see what you can get for free.

Here in hurricane country, I'm leery of stocking too much in the freezer in case of power outages which do happen. A lot can spoil in a few days . I may or may not have cleaned a few out. Ugly cry time. So shelf stable is where it's at for me. Good point in shaking cans!
I feel the same way. When we're without power for multiple days here in rural Maine, everything in the deep freeze is lost. I do shelf stable items, instead.

Danno, I saw on another channel that the reason for so much cheap ground beef being on the market is that ranchers are selling off their herds, and many considering quitting, due to oppressive regulations including the bird cough tests.
Then it's time to stock up on beef sales. Or buy a side of beef if you can afford it and freeze or can some up.

Southeast Michigan 80% lean burger is $2.99 lb this week at Meijer.

Danno, Meijer in Appleton WI (25 mi south of Green Bay) only had $2.99/lb Ground Beef. Still a deal
Corn for 5/$1 weren’t huge ears of corn but tasted great.
Also had $1.99 Aunt Millie hamburger buns for $1.99

I just watched a random youtube video of the Dodge County, WI sheriff announcing charges over inmate deaths in the prison. It was eye opening and just a sample of how bad things are in America.
I just went to Dollar General and I saved 46 dollars. I love watching your videos thank you for all your hard work.
We got some good deals at Meijer today, sale items along with m-perks coupons that expired today. My husband even said we got some good deals today, which he doesn't say very often. We'll be going back again before the 4th of July.

It's tough to see sales when I can't buy them but. Life is what it is.
The Meijer we shop has the ground beef $2.99 lb but that's still a good price. The 80/20 is awesome.

I buy gift cards the visa $100. 4X points. I buy groceries with the gift card. Month of June I have 2800 points. 3 tanks of gas. !.00 off. Saves me a lot. Stretches my gov check.
Amex blue gives you 6% cash back on grocery stores.
If possible, buy spices in glass instead of plastic. It will last way longer, which is important for long term storage. Store in the darkest, driest, coolest place you have.

If anyone buys the Starbucks ready to drink fraps, save those bottles and tops. I use them to store spices in them. I freeze dry a lot of the spices we grow during the summer, those glass bottles are great and the tops work well too. I have told all my family and friends to save them for me. I also make my own iced coffee's and put them in those bottles for 2 or 3 days in the fridge. Much cheaper than buying iced coffee.

I went to the dollar tree the other day in the county where i live , i had seen a guy just walk out the door with a cart full of stuff without paying for it, the cashier was an older lady , who said people are stealing from them alot and they won't hire a security gaurd to stand by the door

That stuff don't fly in my Florida county. We always have room in the jail
i know my grocery shopping has damn near tripled and that is even buying generics and store brands
but our gov says everything i fine,lol

My kids so far are refusing to have families too. It's sad. They don't want to have kids living in this craziness. So no grands for me unless one changes their mind or has an accident.
My kids very recently became legal adults. I am very relieved.
My kids are grown too but I worry about the grandkids. I would hate to buy groceries now for a family of 9 .

Glad you got such a good deal on the ground beef at Meijer. The closest Meijer to me is an hour away and online the ad shows a $2.99 price. Also, Kroger weekly digital coupons show up about 4:00am eastern on Wednesdays.
My Meijer has it for $2.99. ....

Hello from South Central Alaska 😊. Thank you for all your efforts. Last week, we had a local store put 80/20 ground round on sale for $0.99 per pound. They were sold out within 20 months bites 😮
I am a Washington transplant. I call it soda my husband who has lived here all his life calls it soda pop, his daughter who lived in Texas many years calls it coke unless it's Dr Pepper lol
Walmart has gotten higher. It depends on what you buy. But by far it's still good to shop. ❤
As a unemployed person it is trickier to get all the deals I want and need here in the UK with the £150/month I have available to me
I bought burger from meijer and it didn’t taste right to me. Maybe it is because I buy from the butcher shop 🤔
A video idea…. Have your viewers send in one way they saved money that week. You could do it on sundays for example. For example I traded potatoes from the garden for tomatoes from my neighbors garden or I made a whole meal for under 10 that fed 5 people. Just an idea 🙂. It could be fun to see how others save money whether it’s using a coupon for the movies or on food.
I don't understand why people don't want to do digital coupons..and all of the things.... my Kroger order was like $198...I paid $110...yes..110 is alot but the savings can't be beat!

When I was a kid I didn't even realize there was another name for coke. Sometimes they'd ask what flavor, sprite etc 😃. But then you would also leave the empty glass bottle by the machine for recycling or return the pack of glass liter bottles to Kroger's for credit.
Have you heard of net weight? I wait for the 59 cents a # for chicken legs. Oh no a taco shortage.

Previews of Kroger ads start on Tuesdays. Coupons change sometimes during Tuesday - Wednesday night. Never bothered to check exactly. You don't have to have a phone to be able to use their coupons. Any electronic device would do. You can use the website instead. Whatever you use, it's very easy to use. Just read what it says. That's it. It's not coding. If you can read and understand basic English, you can collect coupons. If you don't live alone, you can always call home and ask a family member to click on extra coupons. That is if you have a flip phone. If you have a smartphone, but you don't know if a certain product is a part of a sale, open camera on the app and point it at the barcode. It will scan it and you will see if it's a part of the deal and even if there are coupons you can use. Edit.
I agree with you. I don't understand why some have such trouble with the digital coupons with Kroger and Meijer or what's included with or on the sales. One just has to take a minute, slow down and READ.
I've lived in Florida my whole life and have always called coke/pepsi/etc "soft drinks". Soda makes sense too since it's flavored soda water, but pop makes no sense at all.
Here in Texas they are called coke even if it’s a Pepsi. lol 😂
We live near Danno and our region calls it “pop” so I looked it up and it’s named that due to the sound (onomatopoeia) it makes when the stopper was removed years ago. Who knew?!🤷🏻♀️

Nothing good on sale here, certainly not meat. I got some free Del Monte green beans, they are gross. I like Great value and Stokely's brands better.

Central Indiana hasn't rec'd grocery store fliers in the mail for years now. It's either go to store and pick one up or go on-line and pull up each stores grocery ad for the week

Aldi has a few good deals. Yet lots n lots of crapola brand and taste products. Some to the point....take your 👞 shoes off n cut them up for dinner.
How long will it be until we are operating with Ration Cards? Every day there is breaking news about food shortages and why we cannot get certain products OR they are way too expensive for most folks. Stock up now! Even if it's a $7.00 btl. Of cooking oil start putting it in your pantry. Personally it's going to get worse I think. Items like rice flour get it now before you get a ration card which could happen sooner then you think.
I cannot do digital coupons as I do not own a smartphone. I only have a flip phone for emergencies as I am home using my wifi than away from the house because I am disabled.
If you have a computer or tablet you can do it that way.
If you have an account, choose your digital deals and when you check out enter your phone# to use them!

Actually, you enter your phone number used with your account as an “alt id”. Your discounts and coupons will be applied to your purchases. Just make sure you choose the coupons/deals you want to use while at home.
