Just beat the game today after 12 years of owning the damn game on PSP (not continuous playing obviously). Here are some hints on how I beat it: 1. Regular wangan races are easy, mainly need a car with good control and pretty good top speed for later hotspots (210mph+). My car go to car was Honda NSX-R (~224-226mph w/o NOS). For more technical races, use an AWD car with short gearing (Evo etc). 2. Drifting is a bit random, esp on the last hotspot (the one DK is in), the last hotspot's road is like iced out, the physics makes no sense. But what I did was ignore the opponent, and did my own thing, and making sure each run i stacked up over 10,000 points (12,000+ to be safe on harder opponents). Don't let the points countdown bother you. 3. Twinkie was the hardest grip battle, use a light FWD car for him WITH upgraded brakes. For him, I specially bought an Integra R (short gearing) 4. Spoon cars were somewhat difficult, DK isnt hard, final boss isnt hard (though his teammates were), just focus on getting over 12,000 points consistently. 5. If you end up using the IS300 I recommended, you should be on 3rd gear 90% of the time, 4th gear 7% of the time, 6th gear 3% of the time. Immediately switch to 3rd gear when race begins or when you spin out. Use nos to get back to speed after spinning out or to prevent spinning out (like a boost to get car straight again) 6. MUST USE manual mode (don't use semi-manual), I used Type 2 Manual Transmission control for PSP. Up to you if you want driving assists on or off. 7. Its OK to drive on the redline and not shift! Its a game! Cars I used: Wangan: Honda NSX-R (lvl 5 everything, grip tires), Mitsubishi Evo (lvl 5 everything except transmission, short gearing tranny) Drift: IS 300 Sport Design (lvl 5 everything, 2jz swap except: exhaust (lvl 4), suspension (lvl 4), brakes (lvl 3), gears (short ratio), clutch (lvl 4), weight reduction (lvl 4), tires (lvl 4 drift). Grip: Wangan Evo, Integra R (lvl 5 everything) for twinkie Hope this helps, the IS300 imo is the most controllable for drifting out of all the cars I tried.

hey dude, how do i find the last roll up race? its taking me ages to find it and im missing 1 more roll up race to beat. Im missing johnny atm, where can i find him?
It's been years since I last touched this game. All I did was roaming all over the map at every chance I get, and possibly going through oncoming traffic finding them. Good luck!
12 year old me had no problem chaining drifts in this game or clutch kicking up spirals in garages. You was kinda making it harder for yourself to do proper drifts, like as if you were fighting the car. (No disrespect)
(Clear disrespect) You ever driven AWD cars in this game ghetto boy? I wanna see you try to drift with the same xact car he uses. His car isn't meant to drift but he did pulled it off anyway
Roll Ups races were always not guarantees win at every one some bosses cars was there but, i'll enjoy all the music plays throughout the game play few AI;s can't even drift only drive (you know him) it's say please go easy on him lol
Hanzo is where you have to upgrade to a newer car. The s15 is a great option, considering you will have to go mountain drifting next. Afterwards you can afford the skyline to go on rainbow bride. With the suicide mountain, only god can help you hahah. There isn't really a formula, you just go with your preferred drift car and trial and error.
He was but back then i was a kid and i’d don’t know how to play properly, i’d probably recommend using an AWD or and FF(they both suck in game which is ironic but it worked out for me) tune it up to 300bhp or so just because too much power is bad for grip racing

You know what i racing with DK in Roll up Racers
When did this game come out?? It looks great
What if I told you it came out 12 years ago? :) Yep this game was ahead of its time.
Yeah this game came out right before the ps3 did in 2007.
They should bring this to ps4/ps5
Wait a fucking minute the Redsuns or Project D is in this game holy shit I didn’t catch the refrence till I seen Kyosuke and Reisuke I’m like Huh? Holy shit the rotary brothers
ok but who are "kyosuke and reisuke"?

@@yeaaaaaaaaaaahff camouflaged as keisuke and ryosuke

This track or mountain will be better adopt the track from NFS Carbon which is one side cliff only just blocked with rope and you will fall down if you not be careful👍
hey dude, how do i find the last roll up race? its taking me ages to find it and im missing 1 more roll up race to beat. Im missing johnny atm, where can i find him?
It's been years since I last touched this game. All I did was roaming all over the map at every chance I get, and possibly going through oncoming traffic finding them. Good luck!
Pro racer
12 year old me had no problem chaining drifts in this game or clutch kicking up spirals in garages. You was kinda making it harder for yourself to do proper drifts, like as if you were fighting the car. (No disrespect)
(Clear disrespect) You ever driven AWD cars in this game ghetto boy? I wanna see you try to drift with the same xact car he uses. His car isn't meant to drift but he did pulled it off anyway
Roll Ups races were always not guarantees win at every one some bosses cars was there but, i'll enjoy all the music plays throughout the game play few AI;s can't even drift only drive (you know him) it's say please go easy on him lol
when i play tutorial this game why i have toyota supra? Reiji so why did YOU drive Honda/ACURA NSX?
Because you had the pal version iirc
correct me if im wrong, the pal version no hondas
yeah me too supra no honda dealership
We need a HD remake for PS4
🆒
Awesome video
was so hard to pass Hanzo in this game
At the first race I was use supra
Whyd you keep crashing into him? The last guy
Hanzo is stupid hard compared to like every race before him I won with the 69 charger after too many attempts
You weren't lying about the downhill suicide mountain drifts also holy fuck
Hanzo is where you have to upgrade to a newer car. The s15 is a great option, considering you will have to go mountain drifting next. Afterwards you can afford the skyline to go on rainbow bride. With the suicide mountain, only god can help you hahah. There isn't really a formula, you just go with your preferred drift car and trial and error.
You should I've not gotten the evo for drifting... What you should I've gotten is either a mazda, Nissan or Toyota for drifting
Is It Just Me ? Or Is Twinkie The Hardest Person To Bear Throughout The Whole Game ? 🧐
He was but back then i was a kid and i’d don’t know how to play properly, i’d probably recommend using an AWD or and FF(they both suck in game which is ironic but it worked out for me) tune it up to 300bhp or so just because too much power is bad for grip racing
i struggle to change my cars
1:46:59 nice car
Thanks you
Why isnt music there
