Great video with you both, doing an excellent job through your channels and websites (I discovered Tom's one only today) for exposing maths to a wide audience. My current favorite problem is the "Ein Stein" problem, which is about tiling plane, and I prefer with a not convex pentagon...but for the potential, i like too some p-adics conjectures.
Thanks for sharing this! I've been waiting for this interview, then the world started ending and it slipped my mind. This was a nice surprise that cheered up my day
@TOBIAS SILVA fam Euler was a 18th century mathematician famous for coming up with such things as: e^(pi*i) = -1 ∑{n=0}{infty} n^(-2) = pi^2 / 6 This just a few examples the guy is all over science. OP's account is named after the original mathematician.

Great colab guys! Idea for next one, some of your experiences in learning maths, inspirations, or even when a fellow student was way smarter than you, solved something in a simpler manner etc, would be cool. Thx again.
3blue1brown made lots of mistakes in the alphabet but I'm impressed by the fact that all mistakes are based on visual memory, confusing m and n, j and i. He is actually visualizing the alphabet. No wonder he is 3blue1brown.
That was also my line of thinking. The only way I would even start to practice doing that. It would be through visualizing the alphabet and then read it. Maybe grey out every third or fourth.
My way of doing it would be to assign each letter an associated number depending on its place in the alphabet and then practice being quick with converting back and forth between numbers and letters (and also practicing modular arithmetic).
I feel like becoming the youtube algorithm and referring this is to everyone on the internet(just my fascination for math people making me say strange things)

As the rolled 6's disproportionately occur, the 1's must be more scare, on a loaded die, since the numbers are on opposite faces of the cube. This could be the result of a manufacturing error.
'1' sounds like a cogent choice for a favourite number; or in RUclips vernacular, First! (Apologies for the self-aware impertinence.) Nonetheless, thank you for this great video. If I may submit a humble suggestion, maybe in the next video of this format both you and your guest could alternate in answering questions?
I LOVE that he stopped to calculate the probability of the die outcome. 😂 So typical Grant, and totally something I would have done. Perhaps not as fast as Grant, though.
You can calculate the probability al you want, but it’s on how you roll the dice. It seems like you pick up from the same resting face & roll with the same pressure & speed.
Great, I was trying to decided which of these fine gentlemen was gonna be my primary gay maths crush and now it seems they're dating each other, goddammit
12:30 if the police like to use spelling the alphabet backwards as a sobriety test, at a party you might test how many shots it takes for you to mess up spelling it backwards. Whoever lasts the longest wins. Though, I guess you are being “punished” by winning so maybe you might do something like whoever messes up saying the alphabet backwards first has to take a shot. It doesn’t all have to be about drinking but obvs. having drinking involved could make these alphabet games more interesting
