Hi Paul Doing lots of seeking with Matthew 7:11 as I find the "if you then being EVIL" bringing up red flags of wrong interpretations on this. My understanding is - yes Jesus was talking to His disciples and referring to them as evil - but I feel we need to look at when this happened before the cross or after the cross - they had not yet been given the Holy Spirit and made New Creations with new hearts - yes they still have the flesh as in the mind doing war with the Spirit but when a person has a new heart they are NOT EVIL!!!!
