Magic Johnson without a doubt is not only the Greatest Point Guard in NBA History, He is also the Greatest Playmaker in NBA History and you could make an argument he is the GOAT. I didn't get the privilege of watching him while he was in his prime, but I have seen Hardwood Classics games of him while he was in his prime and it was sensational. If I had one wish it would be that I was born in 1940 so I could be blessed to watch Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic v. Larry, Dr. J, Kareem, MJ, Kobe and Lebron all in their prime. I would have a whole bunch of stories to be able to tell my children to be able to educate them on the talented players that have graced the NBA Court.
Greatest point guard ever is John Stockton. The GOAT is Bird. Magic agrees.

Tamila Shultz Blasphemous, I think it’s honestly Blasphemous to ask who’s the greatest PG and the answer to not be Magic Johnson, just because Stockton has more total assists doesn’t make him a better player maker, Magic averaged the most assists for a player ever, and his passes were so flashy and accurate especially on the fast break and he was extremely versatile and arguably the greatest leader ever

truthseeker89 for life because he won the same amount as magic with less yes he had shaq for three but magic had kareem so that's edge to magic or equal and magic had much better depth on his Showtime Lakers compared to the early 2000s Lakers or the late 2000 Lakers plus he played 20 years for the same team only him and Duncan have done that and he is the best scorer of all time by a wing player now his career average is like 25 buts it's lower because he was so young Lakers didn't wanna play him so much straight out of high school so that pulls down his career average plus he went on to beat maybe the best team or the second best team of the 2000s in the big 3 celtics who had great depth and Rondo who was a great passer and defender well Kobe only him pau and Bynum when healthy he had to have his knee drained before the NBA finals against the celtics and they were ranked number 1 in defence that whole year and he still goes on to win it all magic himself said he is the greatest Laker ever now I think magic is a better player but being the better player and greatest Lakers are two different things Kobe played 20 years made it 7 finals won 5 scored over 30k points and is as close to mj as we have ever seen and kobe won titles with less talent (both the Showtime Lakers and the early 2000s Lakers were great but Showtime was filled with better players)

He's the greatest who ever played the game in my opinion. I think he was better than Jordan but Jordan just had a global brand behind him. I'm not knocking Jordan bc he is one of the best ever to play the game. All I'm saying is Magic is better.
Charles Brown Magic is the greatest PG. I agree. Jordan had guarded magic sometimes n shut him down. Magic can play any position. LeBron like the modern day magic. But jordan is more athletic. A better defender. And a better scorer.
I feel you on that but it was more of Pippen guarding him more than anything. Magic had to retire early bc of the virus he was infected with . He didn't get a chance to finish out his career but he was able to finish with 5 rings. As great as Jordan was he wasn't able to play all 5 positions on the court unlike Magic. (I think he was 19 when he did that).

We in Los Angeles have been blessed to have such awesome basketball talents over the years. Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic, Kareem, James Worthy, Jamaal Wilkes, Michael Cooper, Kobe, Shaq - all in the NBA Hall of Fame and multiple championship winners. As a NBA fan, it has been marvelous living here and watching these superior athletes play.

I was just haunted by my own words....
In 2018 while working at the happiest place on Earth, we were visited by Kobe. The workplace was electrified with him there. I said out loud, "Magic is my Idol, but when Kobe came up, that was my guy"!, Yo hear Kobe say "Magic's my Idol", it shook me a little bit.

I'm a Cuse fanatic and seen them all, Pearl, Seikaly, DC, Douglas, and of coarse Melo, was lucky to see MJ come to the Dome and wallop us, but my most fondest memory is my first Cuse game, 12-3-1977 Mich St. and The Magic Man came to the Dome! And we freakin' beat him, them (75-67)! He was awesome though, a 6"9 PG! Unbelievable.
