Great review! I have a Radiwow R-108, too. One thing I noticed about my R-108 is that if I select AM from another band, the AM sensitivity is decreased. I have to turn off and then turn on the radio to increase the sensitivity. In addition, to a weak station sounding louder, the dbu level in the display is increased. Check your radio to see if it has the same characteristic for the AM.
dgordon12 I think you are right. I just tried that on a station and yes the signal is better after I turn off the radio and then back on. Thank you for watching.
james johnson Thank you Jim. I think the radio is worth getting. I’ll be doing a full review either in one video or multiple parts. I’m still undecided on that.
Usually you set the am radio to around 1300 MHz and the SW radio to 7100 MHz , the older am radios have an oscillator circuit in them I'm not sure if the chip in the radiwow would maybe block the signal . Lot's of people did it back in the day to get SSB.
Do you know how to remedy this problem? My usb power supply when plugged into my radio for power completely stops my radio from picking up stations on MW. If I unplug the usb power cord from the radio, and just use the internal battery for power, I pick up stations without interference. Is there a fix for that and what specifically would that be?
I only operate the R-108 on batteries. I don't use a USB power supply. It creates interference on the MW band. A 5 Volt Micro USB power adapter that includes a ferrite choke on the wire may solve the RFI issue, but I don't know where to get one.
@@jonnyboat2 If that doesn't work, you can also try this method. I found this on Radio Waves by Todderbert on Discord. He also has a RUclips channel you can check out. Here's his quote that I copied from Discord. "A CC Skywave AC Adapter Powering my Radiwow R-108 without the battery installed. No RFI on the MW band! Using a Mini USB to Micro USB adapter. The CC Skywave AC Adapter uses two ferrite chokes and is a Linear Type for Low Noise output. I also use this power setup for the MLA-30 MagLoop."
@@tvradio1972 Yes CB. Thank you i am looking to buy one from aliexpress. Tried to compare with similar price Tecsun PL-310ET but specs show that it goes only up to 21 MHz while Radiwow up to 29 MHz
Buy a bag of "gator" clamp. At RadioShack®. Or off the net. Buy a few. Won't go wrong. I like to save a few dollar making my own antennas. Say 3-5 meters is good.( A meter is roughly 40") good show de kv4li. Tks.

Parece el fruto de los amoríos entre un Xhdata D-808 y un Tecsun PL 310ET. ¡Felicidades a los padres!
Tengo ambos, esta noche dormirán juntos. Saludos
dx onda Thank you for watching. Have a good weekend.
Can you use an older am radio along side radiwow to get SSB?
I don't know. I never tried that.

@@tvradio1972 What a co-inkydink. I just ordered 20 ferrite chokes of varying sizes on eBay for 15 bucks. I’m hoping that works.

How good is the air band?
The air band on the R-108 is very good.
Hey, i wonder can you listen civil band with this receiver?
Civil band or do you mean Citizens Band (CB)? It receives CB stations around the 27 MHz frequencies.
