Thanks Eric for the comprehensive walk-through coverage of the Shenzhen show. I watched the whole thing to get a solid feel of everything, the incredible leadership, innovation, engineering and production of China EV. Here under one roof China present a devastating threat to the national security of US of A which require endless loathing by the politicians, 100% tariff, trade sanctions, insults and even promise to steal. Fortunately not one of these thousand vehicles in the Show will be in USA. Why invest a Yuan in a market that hate you? Let rest of the world share the enjoyment. This is more than good enough.

China EVs are improving fast. As a consumer it is a good thing. But I have learned my lesson according to Wrights Law, price comes down with doubling capacity. No I will not buy now but use my vehicle for another 3 years. Next generation EV will have much high performance and lower prices. This is a buyer market as all players increase capacity but slowing demand leading to price war. Often selling below production cost as inventory build up. Same with steel industry and the famous 80million empty apartments. Shall see who and how many will survive in 2027.

Chery have a big presence in Latin America. Big EV invested in Argentina, Chile etc.
Chile people should keep driving American overpriced, high gasoline consumption and high maintenance cost cars.

Re: the crowds at Nio, why does he have to point out that it's 'not a fair comparison'? He already says multiple times that they're having a press conference, so that's essentially saying, 'keep that in mind'. Actually, if anything the crowds at the press conference speak volumes about enthusiasm for the cars: why would you sit (or stand) through a boring press conference and listen to some suit rattle off boring figures, if you weren't very interested in the cars themselves?
He owns and makes videos on NIO so it kinda makes sense
@@deragoth4250 Then he doesn't realize positive signs when he sees them. A big crowd at press briefing is a good thing. People would rather just hop into cars and test them, not listen to some corporate guy. Unless they're really into the brand, which seems to be the case.
Because every conference has a lot of people at it. I went back later at normal times to get a better comparison
@@Eric_Garrison Fair enough. So maybe compare conferences/briefings? The most crowded ones reflect customer enthusiasm for upcoming models. I remember passing by a Scion conference at a show, and it was practically vacant. A year or two later, Scion was gone.
Yea for sure it would be a good way to compare, but I def didn’t want to hang out going from conference to conference all day. BYD conference was stuffed to the gills though, people flooded the stage as you can see briefly in this video

If I ever get a chance to buy one of EV in the States, then I would like to have Nio to be my top selection! Why?! I like the battery swapping idea very much! Secondly, as a consumer, I don’t need to worry about spending nearly ten thousand dollars for a new battery replacement in later years!
