The only reason Elijah even got his memories erased was because he was sure that the moment he hears that one of his siblings is in danger or something, he would drop everything to go help them. He had always done everything for the sake of his family and that is why even though I understand Hope’s anger, I still feel really bad for him.

No... elijah erased his memories because of Hayley. He couldnt bear to live in a world where she hates him. Even if he had no memory at all, in the end he knew that klaus was his brother and Hope was his niece. He knew Hayley was Hope's mother and still he agreed to help.

Hope is at fault, since she put her mother in a coffin, but she just learned that from her father’s journal’s, she put a protection spell around her coffin so her mom wouldn’t be in danger, she was the only one besides Henry who knew where Hayley was and she told Henry not to tell anyone, and he couldn’t because she was his sire. The problem accures when Roman reads her mind, kidnaps her mom and threatens to kill her, which leads to Hayley’s death, and Elijah could have saved her and didn’t. And he knew who she was, he told Klaus that later, he could have saved her and did nothing. He didn’t have any memories, but is that really an excuse when he could have very easily saved her? But the one who’s really at fault is Klaus, not because he wasn’t there but because of what he did to Greta and her family, he shamed them and killed Greta’s husband, fueling their rage against hybrids and werewolfs even more. If Klaus had never shamed and killed Augustus, Greta wouldn’t have come for Hayley and Hope, and Hayley would still be alive.

Roman used his relationship with Hope and Greta’s witches to get Hayley, and Elijah just stood by and watched Hayley die, with Hayley expecting him to do what he always does: fight for her and protect her. When she died, Elijah knew he could have saved her and instead let her die, and that’s why he hates himself, and that’s why Hope hates him too. They’re both at fault, but Elijah more so because he did nothing to save her
Elijah would have fought if he had his memories if your a true TO fan you would know elijah would never hurt his family specially haley.

I really liked hope till S4 but this is not the hope I liked. This one is just a spoilt brat. She is blaming her uncle for something she did. I didn’t have a problem with whatever she did with hayley (because nobody is innocent in the show) until she blamed elijah. And I don’t care if she was 15, she was not 5. 15 years is not that young. And if she could even think of whatever she did, then she’s definitely not a kid. And now look at the attitude with which she is talking to elijah. As if he kidnapped her and ripped her heart out. He didn’t have his memories and he went there to protect his current family and thought that the girl he met in france was there to harm roman.
Hope told elijah “well now you have your memories, how does it feel”. I want to ask hope, “how does it feel to finally meet your dad at the cost of her mom?”
