@@princess203031 لكن عموما we restore one tooth then the other. We usually restore the smaller cavity first since it’s easier to restore the contour and will have better accessibility, then we restore the larger cavity

Yes, I have a tip for that.
When placing the amalgam with the carrier, press on the cavity line angles hard so you are basically using the amalgam carrier while pressing the amalgam in the cavity as a condenser. This way the amalgam is pressed in the line angles then you can switch to the condenser and condense the amalgam. After that you go back and place and press more amalgam with the carrier on the cavity floor, then use the condenser, and so on until the cavity is over filled. Try it, it will work 😊

We remove the wedge first then the matrix band because the wedge holds the matrix band in place to ensure there will be no overhang. So when we remove the matrix band first we may risk the amalgam at the box or marginal ridge to break.
what does it mean from tooth to restoration? thanks in advance
It means that when you want to remove the excess amalgam during carving, you direct the carver from the tooth surface toward the amalgam to remove the excess. So you use the tooth as a guide for you to recreate the anatomy. If you go in a direction from the amalgam to the tooth, you may remove too much amalgam causing a ditch and submargin compromising the restoration.

Why do u still use amalgam for restoration ? it's toxic !
That you for your comment. Let me share with you some information.
1. Studies and Research Cochrane reviews found that amalgam affects the environment more than the body.
For example, the percentage of mercury in tuna is more than that found in amalgam.
2. Most of the research about the effect of mercury in amalgam and it’s toxicity on the body is based on poor scientific research. The available evidence in terms of how it was conducted and the number of participants in the research is poor to prove conclusively that amalgam is harmful to the body.
3. There are very weak studies conducted some on one or three patients, or patients who already have health problems, including incorrect and unrealistic conclusions in terms of cause and effect because they were not properly studied on a sufficient number of patients.
4. If it was harmful, it would cause serious problems to most if not all patients. But a lot of people have amalgam fillings and are in perfect health.
5. Even resin-based composite has concerns, a lot of research was done on the percentage of unreacted monomers leaching in the oral environment, and the cytotoxicity of the monomers on the body. Many studies concluded that it contains carcinogens. But also we can't say for sure without enough research evidence.
6. Any substance that enters the body must be studied in a rigorous manner as all contributing factors and predictors must be studied on a large number of samples and study all the confounding factors to state a concrete cause and effect on the body.
Lastly, there is nothing like God's natural creation, so we are keen to preserve the tooth with conservative treatment, and we do conservative treatment as much as possible.
You can search systematic reviews which reveal the evidence strength level related to this topic and I’m happy to answer further questions or concerns.

دا التعليق دايما يتكرر.. في الجامعة التي أعمل فيها المنهج والتدريس والاختبارات باللغة الإنجليزية.. فإذا لم استخدم اللغة الإنجليزية لقول المصطلحات العلمية وبعض المصطلحات الأخرى باللغة الإنجليزية سوف أظلم طلابي وطالباتي الذين كانوا الدافع الأساسي لإنشاء الفيديوهات ولفتح القناة.. كثير جدا في الاختبارات الطلاب والطالبات يسألوا عن معاني الكلمات لأنهم لا يعرفوها باللغة الإنجليزية ولا يعرفون كيف يعبرون عنها في الأسئلة المقالية. فلذلك ضروري أن أدمج اللغة العربية مع الإنجليزية في الفيديوهات

الحفرة سيئة جدا و خاصة بوكس الملاصق لان فيه ميناء مش مدعوم بالعاج و في اماكن مشطوبة و هذا خطا لان حفرة الاملغم لازم تكون بزواية ٩٠ مع سطح سن و لا بيكسر و عمق الحفرة قليل. اذا مانك متقنه العمل فلا تعلمي خطا
