Even in the worst of times people who are at war with each other can come together and be at peace with one another.

It's stories like this that break my heart. People like Franz Stigler and Friedrich Lengfeld deserve so much more attention. I remember a verse from the Bible:
"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for his friends."
    John 15:13
    In this case, his enemies.

Fkn heroes thats what they were. I've read about them, too. You should also look up the miracle of hurtgenwald were American GI's and German Sentry's (especially medics) worked together to get their wounded of the fields, both sides were so moved by it that they had a hard time fighting each other in the following days

    • @coreymyers5613

@flekzyyt9709 Yeah, it proved something to me. The Nazis were without doubt evil in their horror. However, there were those among the Nazis who defied their evil. Brief moments of humanity. And that is why I am broken. Oskar Schindler's story was only told because it gained fame from the film named after him, Schindler's List. Without that, no one would have a clue. I've recently seen a 2011 documentary called Hitler's Children. It talked about the children of those born to the most infamous Nazis. Most of them either didn't want to talk about it, were horrified, or furious of their psychotic relatives. I just hope that someday Germany, Israel, Poland, and other countries affected by thr Holocaust find healing, peace, and closure. To all who perished in the Holocaust, rest in peace.

      @flekzyyt9709 10 дней назад

@@coreymyers5613 Yes i searched the miracle of hurtgenwald myself and I couldn't find the right on either. It's from a netflix war documentary and i believe they deleated it because it showed things as african people walking with pictures from germanys leader. Like why would they do that if they came too "invade".
And probably also because of this story. It started the same as the christmace truce in ww1 but this time it were 2 medics on each side and there were 100s of wounded soldiers from each side lying in the snow, so many because coldness can stop bleeding wounds.
The medics agreed to go too their commanders and ask for a truce to pick the men from the battlefield/no mans land 2.0.
The commanders then agreed to meet in a windmill house outside of the front line and came upon an agreement too have a cease fire and let the medics from both sides team up too share knowledge and help IF the medics would have liked this. They did this 3 times
When the medics arrived on the battlefield they didnt even talk too each other and in matter of seconds there where already German medics and American medics patching up and carrying wounded soldiers togerher. This inspired even infrantrists from both sides too help and so they shared photos and goods as in thr christmas truce.
This inspired painters too, they made beautiful paintings about the soldiers helping each other with all the details on the outfits, snow, trees etc. So ofcourse the men had a hard time fighting each other.
It's a sad thing tho.... saving each other just to fight again each other and this time they didnt switch battalions like in the story of WW1...

      Hi,
I'm counting on "female solidarity", to bring our matrix NGO to life, by Christmas Eve.
      Let that be the moment...
      ... Even, around the world!
      Since we need Chapter everywhere.
I promise, this can be done... Well.
      Lady Liberty needs Her champions.
I've taken it, as far as I can... For now.
      Note,
Long ago - early 2000s - FEMA took my research, and used them as templates, to start their NETC/EMI Degree Program.
      Let's say, I was betrayed.
However, he didn't get it all.
      He took credit, to soon.
In those Bush days, the proof is recorded.
I still struggle, to get the right folks, to listen, about all the possibilities.
First, I recommend finding women - Vets - who have served, in FET.
They can help build it, from ground, up.
Using, what they know, with the pieces I found.
(And, I need rescue, or I can't help anymore... Headed into storage.
May I have a Staff / Advisor position paycheck, once on line???
For a shack I can call home?).

So, to snuggle up tight, against our republic, for managing crucial issues.
(Suffrage, Republic, Environment, Education, Infrastructure, Liaison, Logistics...).
So, to restore our "mustering" capabilities, for accounting our voice and vote...

      Making our approach more appropriately...
... To protect life, liberty, happiness, a sense of home... For maintaining a safe secure environment, for living the art of kindness...!
      Note: FEMA recommends secondary EOCs...
... Something like a NASA Flight Control.
... For dealing with emergencies, disasters, and distress...
(Which are the jobs, for folks like our professional Responders...

Thusly, that "secondary" can be built as a matrix non-profit NGO.

      Through Projects, Sub-Projects, and Missions...
...Who, what, when, where, which, why, how.

However, as the security apparatus faded from use, so went the democracy / (demos-kratia?), that happened, in their midst, at those required gatherings / musters, while - also - maintaining liaison, with other folks, in other places, who were using mustering - for community maintenance, too.

I first heard this story when my mom found it in the Reader’s Digest when I was about 10 years old. Every Christmas Eve, even into my adulthood, we read that story. Now I have carried on the tradition with my own family. It’s a reminder that we are all God’s children, and are more alike than we realize. We can love one another, even if the world governments say otherwise.❤️

Stories such as this one frequently occurred in real life. My favorite involved a woman serving Christmas Eve supper to a group of young Germans when, suddenly, an American battalion burst in. Before anyone could jump into action th llady of the house firmly held up her hand and said, "This is the evening of Our Lord's birthday! No guns, no war will be in this house!"At first tensions, were strained but as the meal refreshened the time soldiers they began to talk to one another. They shared wallet photos of their wives and children. Then, as humble gifts, they exchanged cigarettes and chocolate bars. When the evening came to an end, a young German soldier looked at his weapon then at an American. "Not tonight nor tomorrow." As they began to leave an American said to the Germans, "Keep your heads down," smiled and left.
