Hope you found these must-have tools helpful. I would consider them numbers "11-20" in my top tools line up, because they really change the game when it comes to cooking more recipes. Really enjoying these videos and the new tenor of the channel. Keep it coming. The one thing I need to get is a salad spinner. Had one, it broke and I never replaced it. I like those nesting bowls. Might just get those even though I already have a set of three. Thanks for sharing
Aw I'm glad you're enjoying this new pivot. I don't know why I didn't think about talking about the basics sooner! Yes, you need a salad spinner if yours broke...it will save you SO much prep time. I love my nesting bowls...I use them everyday, and I can't believe they've lasted through 10 years, 200 videos, and a cross country move!
1-10 and 11-20 in constant use at my home. Also use my food mills a lot. I’m about to replace my handheld mandolin- (plus still have a SS counter Model from my Culinary days) Love a functional kitchen tool, my small pleasure
Great list!! The oven thermometer has been super helpful when you recommended it to me way back when I was having issues. I def need the citrus juicer you highlighted. Looking forward to your next list.
Thanks Katie. I had another oven thermometer before and it broke...so I lived a while without one, and then I just couldn't take it anymore because I kept doubting my oven whenever writing recipes, so I grabbed another one just for my peace of mind! And that specific citrus squeezer has been on my want list for a few years now. I couldn't justify upgrading when I already had one that worked okay, but man this one gets consistent great reviews...so I might do it!
Hi, great list of everyday kitchen tools. I am a kitchen gadget freak! But reviews or opinions are helpful. Cuz I find myself replacing a lot of them from 15 years ago that either didn't work well, or was a tool that was just too heavy to maneuver with. Just Q&A: I often make egg salad with the slicer but wanted to know does the oxo rice masher work for eggs? I love Sunset foods egg white salad but not the price per pd.? The texture looks similar but not sure? Once upon a deli is like that as well? I don't know if it just tastes better that way. Thanks, Sherry H.
Yes...I need me that Zulay squeezer too...I had Zulay squeezer envy for the past 3 years or so...I think it might be time for me finally upgrade! Also, thanks for the compliment....had to take care of my hair since we're filming and I was not gonna film another video with wild "quarantine" hair! Haha.
Hey good to hear from you Shay ❤️. Thanks and I’m glad you enjoyed it. You’ve been with us for so long...it means a lot when our core Yooniverse still enjoys our newer content 🥰.
Yes it is! I really rely on my oven thermometer, especially when writing my recipes. And the deep fry thermometer is awesome. It's useful for boiling sugar or making caramel as well!
I know...it's a shame we never posted the footage from our underground supper club, but it happened when I was pregnant, and then we got too busy to edit it after L was born. Maybe it's something I need to revisit for a "lost archives" mini-series. And yes spider and potato ricer for sure!
@@ChefJulieYoon I have a citrus problem too....that's one of the many reasons I appreciate the Yooniverse so much! The supper club lost arcives is a great idea! I'm happy with your content and creativity!
Thanks...it's a fusion dish that I created together with my chef friend when we did the underground supper club together. If he's cool with me sharing it, maybe I will one day!
The oven thermometer is an important one for me. I moved into my home two years ago and my Samsung stove is about 50 degrees off. I wish I had been able to choose my appliances.
Wow...yes that has happened to me before too. Isn't it crazy how off an oven can be? I rely on my oven thermometer the most too. Even though my oven is correct, sometimes I still doubt it, especially when a recipe doesn't come out...so I'm glad I have mine too.

This is so useful. Thanks! Definitely need to get the spider.

Oven thermometer is clutch! Considering a deep fry thermometer.

Chef JulieI I really hope you do. The favour profile sounds incredible because I love black sesame. It sounds like such a unique recipe.
